That's the sort of thing I've been doing more of lately with family and friends. The gift of "time". The gift of experiences. Taking those friends out to that restaurant we've always wanted to try. Going with a friend who's never been there to the Dinosaurs museum in Drumheller. Going with my wife on a scavenger hunt through Calgary from a company that does mystery scavenger hunts.
It sounds so cliche, but it's really easy to get "too busy" these days, and take the people in your life for granted. And yes, figuring out gifting this year, around the pandemic, has been much more difficult, and I've gone a bit more materialistic than I usually do.
