I wouldn't care if it was a pickup game at the local diamond, if some arsewipe throws at me twice in a row, hitting me the second time, I am charging the bloody mound.

Just turned it on a few minutes ago. Good timing. Sour grapes from the Mexicans?

Without a doubt. They're as good as out of the tournament (a tournament they've never been eliminated in the 1st round before) and being embarrassed by Canada of all teams, poor American-Mexicans.

Also Mexicans were mad that Canada bunted with a 6 run lead but .Mexicans are of course dumb as rocks and don't know the rules and if you've watched any sport (soccer) you know there are no more worse sore losers in the world than Mexico.

Isn't it just the Gonzalez brothers that are born in California? I thought most of the Mexican team was actually from Mexico.

Well it was funny seeing the Pros standing back making sure they weren't getting into it (outside of that scrub Ramo) and getting hurt. They realized the silliness of the fight.

I would also say this is fairly similar to a pick-up game at the local diamond so perhaps fitting that your reaction is the same.

This is getting absurd, end the game and disqualify these disgusting morons and their ######ed fans.

I love it. If you saw the fight live on SN you can see #14 for Mexico running around and punching various Canadian players before scampering away. As you can see on the fan video above, some Canadian player (I didn't see the name) finally grabs onto him, smashes him in the head and throws him onto the ground. Man that was special.

That was pretty awesome.

Say did you guys know that the Canadians grew up playing hockey? And they fight like that because of hockey? They grabbed the jersey just like in hockey? They have colds but still play because they grew up playing hockey?

I had no idea that Canadians played hockey!

Just to underline the stereotypes further, the one Mexican guy totally pulled a latin soccer fight move, ran in and took a swing and then tried to immediately run away.

That's all people know. I've seen Canada play in the Rugby World Cup and all the Australian commentators talk about is Canadian's doing such and such because of hockey

You scoff now but this tournament is going to get big. All tournaments from the Olympics to soccer's World Cup had to start somewhere and in 1896 or 1930 respectively, many thought they were stupid ideas.

Might not have to. If Italy wins tonight, US will have to beat Canada by something like 5 or 6 tomorrow

I don't really know them all but I know their best pitcher Romo is not Mexican either - he is born and raised in California but just has the heritage.

It might it just seems to be at a horrible time for pitchers and in a sport that it could actually affect the regular season for guys (pitchers). Without the support of the best players in the world (USA and MLBers) it will remain a fun little tournament to watch but completely meaningless and I just can't see top guys being excited to play in it unless major changes happen.

Their best pitcher is Gallardo who was born in Mexico.

Romo is crap.

I think the first tiebreak is head to head girly - the US game is irrelevant tonight if so, basically the winner of Canada-USA goes through no matter what.

If Italy wins, they are first.

Then if USA beats Canada tomorrow, Canada, USA and Mexico will all be 1-2.

Canada will have beaten Mexico, Mexico will have beaten the USA, and the USA will have beaten Canada. Head-to-head solves nothing. So they then go with run-difference tiebreakers, so the USA will need to beat Canada by a bit of a margin to end up winning the tiebreakers between the teams.

Edit: sorry, the second tiebreaker is this actually:

2. The team with the highest Team's Quality Balance (TQB=(RS/IPO)–(RA/IPD)) in head-to-head games between the tied teams
