Well that was pretty much a dream start to the series for a Giants fan, didn't expect to get to Verlander like that. Not too confident in Bumgarner tonight though, hopefully he's figured out what he was doing wrong in his first two starts, because he was pretty awful in them. As good as last night's win was, it's pretty damn important to not go back to Detroit for three games at 1-1.

The Cards are tough on Lefties. I think Bumgarner will have a good start.

Honestly TSN, it's the freakin' World Series, is it too much to ask for you to put the starting pitchers on the Game Day preview?

The Tigers sending Prince Fielder with nobody out? Why do you want to make me cry?

Yeah that was pretty dumb, trying too hard when they should be patient. I'm happy that they appear to be generating some offense early.

Fister just took a ball to the head, he's been great thus far. Would be a brual turn of events for the Tigers if he leaves the game.

Did they bend the rules letting him stay in? No automatic assessment?

No idea to be honest, and if you pull him out of the game and bring in someone else can he go back in if he's fine?

That was stupid right there. The play had to be to the plate.

Should have left Fister in, Smyly has no command right now. Agreed letting them score was stupid.

Ugh I can't believe Leyland, he probably blew the game with that decision. This is shades of 2006 all over again.

Leyland is such an awful manager. Shows up even more when every play means something in the post season. Tigers are done

Leyland just too timid. If Dotel throws a ball in the dirt, Pence strikes out. Instead he throws 2 high breaking balls, of course it'll be a sac fly at the very least.

I don't know - the Tigers are in big trouble, as SF has an edge in the next two pitching match-ups. They also have a whole lotta magic.
The Giants don't really have a DH though.

I just heard on the Fan 960, that he won't start until Game 5.

Moving Verlander up to pitch game 4 makes no sense and would all but eliminate him from game 7.
