Not really getting a read on anything Brandon McCarthy related. Still have to think Oakland is the landing spot but you'd have to wonder why it hasn't happened yet?
I'm going to predict Baltimore will do something big and soon. They're not the best run team and knowing the Orioles, they'll want to capitalize on last seasons success.
For McCarthy, its 100% health related. No one really knows. While he has made an amazing recovery, can he pitch at the same level? I'm still being told A's but that could change in a minute.
Grienke ends up with the Dodgers imo and I think Baltimore gets one of Hamilton or Sanchez.
James Loney signs with Rays not sure how I feel about this one. He is pretty consistent defensively but nothing special in the offense department. Good price though of only 2 mil for the year

I know Doc always was a class act with the Jays but I can't help but just enjoy the fact that the Phillies are going to be in tough to make the playoffs again next season.

One of the most celebrated players in San Francisco history became a free agent Friday night when the Giants, as expected, declined to tender him a 2013 contract.
The Giants signaled they were not willing to offer Wilson the required minimum guarantee of $6.8 million without knowing when he would return in 2013 and how effective he would be.
A lack of budget space for a team that is not significantly raising payroll also factored into the equation.
The Giants technically can negotiate a lower-priced, incentive-rich deal with Wilson now that he is a free agent, but multiple sources said the 30-year-old right-hander is upset about the Giants' stance and has told people he will sign elsewhere.
As popular as he remained among San Francisco fans, Wilson lost considerable bargaining leverage this year when the Giants won another World Series without him and led the league with an 80 percent save conversion rate.
Victorino, holy smokes - his agent did his job. A few years back perhaps he'd have been worth it, but IMO, he's worth half that.
As for the Brian Wilson situation, I don't know what's up with the guy, but he really rubs me the wrong way. Sure he was really good in his closer role for a couple seasons, but once he started with the beard, it was all about him, and his ego seemed to go through the roof. The Giants are right to be cautious with his injury situation. How is he worth $13M when he's a recovery risk? Good on the Giants for not bending over. I wouldn't be opposed for the Jays getting him, but at a very cheap price for a low term. I like characters on teams, but this guy really seems all about himself. Besides that, I'm not sure he'd want to be on the team like the Jays.
