Is the discussion about whether we pay to sit and watch others play sports or play sports ourselves?
If it's the second, I'd say we are definitely a sports country. Everybody I know plays sports on a regular basis, and it seems rare to run into somebody that doesn't. I'm not the most active person in the world but I play soccer, I golf, bike, curl, ski, skate and play pick-up hockey on occasion. I feel that it a fairly diverse portfolio of participation in sport.
