Or I could go with Matt Ryan at QB, Gates at TE or pick up TRichardson at RB and hopefully trade Bradshaw if he has a good couple weeks. The TRich pick would be more because it's a keeper league. If I get Richardson I'm thinking I'd be able to get a Torrey Smith type WR with my second pick. Picking an unproven rookie is dangerous and I really don't like it, but think it could be the best move. Thoughts?
I like your line of thinking. Stud RB's are must-have's if you want to compete in a keeper league and outside of the draft there's no easy way to acquire them. Your team could use some youth and I'd go for it.

While rookies can be overhyped, Richardson has been billed as a far superior talent especially compared to the previous drafts top RBs, Spiller, Ingram, Mathews.

Do you have any confidence that you could reach a bit to handcuff yourself to David Wilson? For a keeper league, I think you will get long term value by taking Richardson. But if you can snag another guy like Wilson or Doug Martin a round later, you might be able to opt for the player that helps you more this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Wilson and Martin have better seasons than Richardson because of their Divisions and the other offensive pieces around them.

That's what I've been thinking. I'm almost positive Wilson will be availble and I'm leaning towards Martin will be as well.

Top pick in an 8 team league and passing TD's are worth 6 points. Is it worth taking Rogers with that pick?

I'm in two leagues a 12 team league with a 14 player roster 2 keepers and a 10 team league with a 21 player roster 3 keepers. They both have a flex position although the 10 team league has one more roster player as its 3 wr 2 rb 1 te plus flex where the 12 team league is 2 wr 2 rb 1 te plus flex.
12 team league roster:
QB
Tony Romo
Andrew Luck
RB
Ray Rice
Demarco Murray
Shonn Greene
Mark Ingram
WR
Marques Colston
Roddy White
Dwayne Bowe
Michael Crabtree
TE
Tony Gonzalez
Jason Witten
K
Alex Henery
D/ST
Texans

10 team league roster:
QB
Michael Vick
Matt Schaub
Jake Locker
RB
Chris Johnson
Frank Gore
Reggie Bush
Stevan Ridley
LaGarrette Blount
WR
AJ Green
Dwayne Bowe
Vincent Jackson
Robert Meachem
Greg Little
Austin Collie
LaVon Brazil
TE
Brandon Pettigrew
Kellen Winslow
D
Ravens
Falcons
ST (kicker included)
Patriots
Lions

I'd say I don't love either team but don't hate them either .... I think my 12 team roster is a little stronger but risky at QB for sure. My 10 team roster failure / success will really rely on Vick and Johnson to have rebound years.

14 team league. Not too impressed with the team I picked. My RB's are turrible. I was smoking way too much pot that day.

QB - Cutler
RB - Sproles
RB - Gore
WR - Fitzgerald
WR - Andre Johnson
WR - Antonio Brown
D/ST - Jets
K - Henery

Back ups
Bradford
S. Greene
N. Washington
Cardinals
Suisham(sp?) Pitts kicker

The scoring isn't standard. Its pretty TD heavy. QB's only get 3 pts per TD, but they are easily the highest scorers. WR and RB are pretty close in scoring, the top RB's are a touch ahead of top WR, but after that the middle of the pack WR are ahead of the middle of the pack RB's. I've always tried to pick RB with my first two picks, but this year I didn't like the RB available when I picked. So I went heavy on the WR with my first two picks and hope they pan out. Might regret not getting McFadden but I don't think he'll stay healthy.

Like in any scoring system there is a pretty big drop off if you don't one of the elite QB's. By the time I picked in the first round 7 QB's were already gone. I was really hoping to get one of the big QB's. After they're gone its just a matter of trying to get a decent guy. I'm happy with Cutler. Last year I snagged Eli really late. I usually do well with late round QB picks.

The benches are short in this league so my best hope at RB is to have a guy get injured for the year and snag his replacement before any other team does. No one gets to handicap themselves so it makes for some interesting situations.

With no one knowing whats going on with the MJD-Jaguars situation, is it worth it to pick up rashad Jennings as a #4 RB?

Looking for advice from some FF journeyman/veterans:

I am in a league where we used to be a keeper league, but we have weened ourselves off keepers and decided that we wanted to go back to a new draft every year and start fresh.

So after a few years of "weening" this will be our first year in many where there are no keepers and we have a full on draft coming up this week.

For all the years that we had keepers we had a draft where the last place team would draft first, and the first place team would draft last, etc.

Now that we are off keepers we have gone back to a snake draft, but it occured to me after checking out the website that somebody has still entered the draft order based on last year's results.

It seems to me that if you are starting a new season with a fresh page for everybody, shouldnt we be picking our draft position out of a hat?

Why would the last place neccisarily want to draft first (and 20th)?

I think we are doing it wrong, but I wanted to ask for some opinions before I bring it up.

I had a similar situation in a league I play in. They changed to a keeper format where you can keep 2 players, and the big one was going from a 1 QB to 2 QB format. What reeked was that the commissioner picked up Peyton Manning after his season was over, and before he announced theses changes.

I complained about switching to a 2 QB format, at which point he replied to my message mocking me for not having a QB to keep. When I confronted him about how fair he was given his actions, he put up a poll about whether it was fair and if we should start from scratch. The vote was 10-2 to start with a clean slate, and a new draw for the draft order.

Need some advice guys. I'm in a keeper league and and it's standard scoring except QB throwing tds are 5 points instead of 4. I got the first pick and the two keepers are beside the name. It's a snake draft.

Kobasew19 1 Matt Forte & White
a 2 Mccoy &Tom Brady
b 3 AJ Green & MJD
c 4 Demarco Murray & Dez Bryant
d 5 Cam Newton & Ray Rice
e 6 Aaron Rodgers & Julio Jones
f 7 Foster & Jamal Charles
g 8 AP & Darren McFadden
h 9 Chris Johnson & Larry Fitz
i 10 Brees & Welker
j 11 Stafford & Calvin Johnson
k 12 Eli Manning & Rob Gronk

I have a trade proposal out there where i essentially swap teams with Team I. I get Brees, Welker for Forte and White and we swap draft picks for the entire draft. I had Phillip Rivers last year and he was frustrating beyond belief. Getting a top 5 qb would be pretty sweet so i'm leaning towards doing this. Thoughts guys?

Thanks in advance!

A bit weak at RB, and assuming you picked 3rd with no keepers I would have picked up one of Foster/Rodgers/Rice/McCoy over Brady

Just finished my 12 team keeper PPR snake draft this weekend. I drafted 11th, not ecstatic with my team but if they can miraculously stay healthy i have a fighting chance.

QB - Matt Ryan, Ryan Fitzpatrick
RB - McFadden, F. Jackson, B. Wells, Taiwan Jones, Ronnie Hillman
WR - Harvin, Lloyd, Malcolm Floyd, Kenny Britt, Brian Quick
TE - Brandon Pettigrew
D - Lions
K - Henery

I wasn't able to handcuff Fred Jackson with Spiller - that's my glaring mistake but he went too early.

My WRs are a bit of a gamble, but I think Percy and Lloyd are going to have big years.

This is the team I drafted in another league that I play in.

This is an 8 team league with 6 point passing TD's, format 1QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, K, DST....I took a lot of injury risks here...You could almost call it the please come back 2010 team.

QB Aaron Rogers, Jay Cutler
RB Jamaal Charles, Adrian Peterson, Peyton Hillis, David Wilson, Toby Gerhart
WR Jordy Nelson, Miles Austin, Jeremy Maclin, Kenny Britt
TE Rob Gronkowski
K Matt Bryant
DST Seattle

RB's still seem to carry huge value in this league as Cam Newton was still around to get taken in the third round of this draft. Which I find a bit odd given that with 6 point passing TD's the top QB's can really distance themselves. Last year in this format Rogers, Brees, Brady, Stafford, and Newton were the only 400 point players, and Newton who put up 411 points was 73 points clear of the next guy down...When you consider the points in the frist 16 games...the spread between a guy like Rogers and the other guys was even larger.

There are drop offs with RB...but the spread between the 4th and 5th RB is a lot less in terms of total points than the QB spreads.

For week one the question is...David Wilson or Toby Gerhart, while AP works his way back to health?
