I don't get the mentality that a person feels "more protected" because he carries a gun. Frankly, if I lived somewhere that I felt I needed to pack a freakin gun to go for a walk in the park, I'd seriously consider moving... to Canada.

Check out Mirzali Arlsanov's comment on the Kalamazoo Live's article about the incident. Arlsanov claims to have been approached by two men on Nose Hill, propositioned in the same manner as Warwa and then given tickets to the Stampede for free.

Edit: Duh. That's exactly what Thor was getting at not more than two posts above mine.

"Have you been to Shechem?" the other asked again, blocking the path with their leprotic bodies. "Gentlemen, I have no reason to talk to you," Jesus replied, and the two stared in unholy bewilderment. So Jesus reached for his piece and capped both their @sses.

What concerns me is that you replied to my post without even being welcomed to reply to my post. You just took it upon yourself to respond to me.

Did anyone else notice the CP shout out from Pylon on the Kalimazoo comments page.

I work in the vicinity of Nose Hill Park and cycle through there regularly. I can verify the men were handing out Stampede tickets, as I picked up 4 gate admission tickets free as well from 2 nice young fellas. As far as protecting your wife, I am sure they didn't WANNA MAKE'r feel uncomfortable. You are just not used to people being friendly and approachable. I think FATAlly wounding someone for asking you a question might be a bit extreme. You might feel like you are a CHAMPIONing the agenda of the gun toting crowd. But really you are just reinforcing the Tinfoil hat wearing, NRA image we have of Americans up here.

Pylon mixing in a little Springs1 was also very well done. And since he referenced the recently banned Champion, you can tell he's still lurking.

As much fun as it is to mock this clown, and it very much is, when you look at how this "incident" made him feel, one simply can't help but pity him. Take away the artificial courage his badge and gun lent him, and all you are left with is some poor fool terrified of his own shadow. I can't imagine living life in such a constant state of fear.

Some conflicting information, but it is looking more and more likely that the two sketchy gentlemen were giving away Stampede tickets.
