The magic interceptions remain and it's very annoying. I just threw for 400 yards 6 touchdowns and 9 interceptions online and ended up losing 58-52 in overtime because of the picks. My buddy chucked 9 picks as well. Aaron Rodgers threw 6 all of last year, I threw 9 with him in 1 game. I was throwing the ball in areas away from a DB, but some how they magically pick it off.

Pro difficulty is far too easy for me, especially when running the ball, but on all pro I throw a ton of picks and can barely get 40 yards rushing a game

I find I'm getting better at the running game. Really gotta look for the holes to open up and then drive through them.

The biggest thing for me is that play calling matters more this year. You really have to pick plays that you think will be favorable against how the defense is lineup, or what they may do. A decent passing game really opens up the running game.

You can't defend in this game at all, it's pretty brutal unless you get a interception or fumble no way to stop the other team

Just like with offense and running the ball, you have to put more focus on what type of plays you call. The AI this year is much better/smarter in it's own play calling.

The magical db and linebackers are back they fly out of nowhere to swat balls. Extremely annoying.

Are they smarter at play calling or are their players making plays that your players can't make if their life depended on it.

That's what is frustrating about EA's AI.

Glad to hear i'm not the only one getting picked more than twice a game. I'm new to the Madden franchise so I thought I was just a horrible player, although that could be the case as well

The EA teams seem to be focused on making these games smarter. I know there was a huge difference between FIFA 11 and 12 in this regard. Usually I can go seamlessly from one year to the next, but I really sucked at 12 for a while. They really forced users to learn the intricacies of the game instead of just bombing down the wings. It seems like Madden is going through the same overhaul.

I haven't bought a Madden game in years, but I decided to try it this year. It is definitely a huge improvement over when I used to play it, but it is still a long way behind the FIFA series IMO.

The thing that is frustrating is last year the DB would drop every pass, this year it's the opposite thy catch everything and passes not even near them. On top of that you can play defense at all, you can't tackle, you can't blitz, nothing. I'm all for improving the ai but the interceptions are beyond ridiculous.

They added a new feature where you can aim passes and lead your receiver into open areas, well it doesn't work instead I'm on pace for throwing 90 interceptions.

EA's "AI" has pretty much been like that for as long as I remember. Kinda like in their NHL games, when your goalie is a 90 and the AI's is a 76, and you're winning 3-0 with 2 mins left in the third, and outshooting them 60-10... and then all of a sudden, you can't hit anything anymore. Your guys can't skate, they can't receive a pass, they're suddenly incapable of turning around and picking up a loose puck that is right beside them... and light flip shots from the AI at your blueline are suddenly going through everyone and landing in the back of your net.

I've always hesitated to call anything EA does and "AI." It's more like, "OK, it's the last minute of the game and the score is within 3. Time to reduce all his player's stats to 1 and crank all ours up to 99. We'll score on each of our next 3 shots, and then put it back to where it was."

It always reminds me of when my brother used to kick my ass at football on our Atari 2600 when we were kids. I would wait til he wasn't looking and then flip the difficulty switches on the console, and then laugh while I was throwing 100 yard touchdowns and every time one of his guys touched the ball, they'd fumble it.

I've been playing on All-Pro and find playing defense is too easy. May ratchet it up to All-Madden and see how it goes. Mind you, I haven't been that much of a juggernaut on offense.

I'm in the same boat. On all-pro my defense is #1 in the league and my offense is #17. I'm gonna switch to all Madden tonight but I'm sure ill hate it. I'm getting better at avoiding throwing interceptions, that's my biggest fault when I have the ball

I pretty much can't lose on all pro just because my defense stops everything for me, so all Madden might be more fun and challenging

This game is ass. I'm up 28-7 have 21 minutes to 9 of possession and every pass I throw is picked off and I eventually lose.

I am getting tired of this game, can't get any plays downfield, receivers never out run corners, throwing a ton on INT's and still getting drops.

It's ridiculous the fastest receivers get zero separation and then boom out pops the db with a magical interception even on crossing patterns. This is by far the worst madden.
