Looks like, from my own speculation, Baumgarnet let the other four guards go into the ABM room and shot them in the back. He locked the room and left, drove the armored truck to pick up his truck parked at some spot. Not sure if he got anymore from it at this point. This case could turn out to be fairly straight forward.

Baumgarnet could be alone in this if he's capable of shooting four people in cold blood. Only 21 year old, where has this world come to?
This is what I also suspect. Although it was only 3 guards he shot in the room behind the ABM's. The fourth was shot outside. Still doesn't explain why there were two armored cars on the same call but maybe that will become clear at a later time. Is he so stupid that he parked his truck at the Edmonton branch (that's where the armored truck was found) and drove back to retrieve it?

Looks like Baumgartner has priors. The relatives of the victims should sue G4S for letting a criminal on the job if Baumgartner was the killer.

You should brush up on your history if you think today's generation is "desensitized" to brutal violence.

Right now, it doesn't look like the "well planned" crime people had said it was.

Well maybe in his mind he actually thought this was well planned. He does seem a bit insane...

At least in the movies, he'll have an accomplice shooting him in the arm to fake as a victim that got lucky. He's driving a marked truck and I say he'll be nabbed faster than Luka Rocco did.

A warrant has officially been issued for Travis Baumgartner for first degree murder and attempted murder according to the National Post.

So what's the deal then? Are they certain that this Baumgartner guy did it?

Sounds like it. The EPS had a presser and said they are confident it's him. They are going to update the media again at 9:00PM.

In case someone hasn't seen it, someone took a video of the police trying to knock down the door to the rear of the ATM's. You can hear the G4S guard who is not dead screaming in the background. It's pretty horrifying. It's in the video section of this article:

Apparently Edmonton in the 80s was like 1930s era Chicago.

That is bone chilling. I can't even fathom.

If EPS is so certain, that could mean Baumgartner actually used the G4S issued gun to commit the murders.

That is very likely. If he was carrying anything else I assume his partner(s) would have suspected something. Some witnesses have also said they heard as many as 8 or 9 shots, so either he reloaded or the other guards managed to get some shots off, too. G4S carries a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver (6 shots).

Years ago someone hijacked an armored truck in Nanaimo. They still haven't found it to this day or caught the "perps"

Although if they can track down a gay cannibal in the middle of Europe, they can catch a horny 20 year old Edmontonian somewhere in the middle of Alberta.

So, was creeping his friends on facebook, wondered what previous conversations would pop up.. Upon the third profile I randomly opened this was the one friends status update.

Seems odd. If you kill or critically injure those that may stand in your way, how does your planned robbery not succeed?
