Stamps are getting a lot of really good "defensive" Canadians on their roster. It allows so much more flexibility.
If that O line can be like it was 2 years ago then we could have a very good year. Protection for the QB and holes for the running game.
A bit concerned about the DBs.

DBs are a strength imo.
Fassitt looked solid when he was healthy last year, Tisdale was inconsistent but is a game changer, takes chances. Add in Smith and Raymond at halfback who were couple of our best players last year. Looks like we'll be going with a Canadian safety this year in Fraser who imo is ready. Not a worry i think. Also couple of these new recruits will shine but most jobs in the secondary are locked up by good players.
The d-line needs a boost though. Mace, hopefully is healthy and play up to his potential, Bulcke will also need to step up. Hughes is good for pass rush but he can only do so much. Really need someone opposite Hughes to pass rush.
The LBs are a mystery right now. They want Morley playing SAM, he showed well last year. McCune/Simpson/Lobendahn will compete for the middle. Not sure who'll play weakside, Jackson is coming back but he looked really lost last year. Will is definitely up for grabs for the newcomers.
So 3 Canadians on the D side, 2 tackles and a safety. Positions up for grab MLB, DE, Will. But who knows someone might've pulled a "Labinjo" in the off-season and might end up losing their starting spot.

DBs are easily the strength of the Stampeders defence. Keon Raymond is one of the elite DBs in the league. Fraser, Faccett, Morely really started to cime on last year. Tisdale still anchors on of the corners.
DL and LB need help. Interesting to see what the new additions will do

Stamps have Dinos QB Eric Dzwilewski in camp.
Bo Levi Mitchell (QB) was pretty impressive this morning for me, made some beautiful throws. Jimmy Ralph (WR) looked good as well. Beautiful morning to go watch some of camp

From what i've been reading it looks like there is going to be a competition in Canadian receiver with Baumann and Arjay Franklin. The signing of Franklin kind of puzzled me especially after signing Baumann plus we have Anthony Parker and Forzani on camp already. But I guess Huf wants to see competitions. We will definitely some pass rush DLine and it would be better if this pass rush happens to be a Canadian so they got some leeway on the defense. LB would be a top choice for Huf and Campbell. I love McCune and I think Simpsons played well but they were injured a lot last season so in comes Lobendahn to try to take away their job. I don't think i know much about this guy though. We'll see how it goes.

Perhaps the competition will be first guy who can catch 3 out of 10 perfectly thrown passes to them. I'm not sure we have time to wait for one guy to do it before camp ends but if they are still going at the start of the season as you mentioned we do have some depth with Parker and Forzani.

Forzani is a big play guy, he has the wheels. If he can add consistency to his game he will be a top 5 receiver this year in the league. I hope they get Parker in more this year, and Arthur is a good underneath guy. I'm not worried about our receivers. Plus with a smart accurate qb to get the ball to the playmakers we should be fine.
The defense is the big issue. We where awful in the trenches last year. Bc dominated because they got pressure from 3-4 guys, and not sending extra guys on a blitz. If we have to rely on a lot of blitzes, we will be effed.

Did anyone get down to McMahon for camp this morning? Hoping to get there this afternoon.
Realistically if Tate can be consistent for 18 games your offence will be fine. The biggest worry is the front 7 on defence by far. Need a pass rusher and the linebackers need a bounce back year

Hey guys, a link to a Stampeder's site that I put together with a couple of other members. We are currently using the GoStampsgo forum until goStampsgo shuts down and we bring up our own forums.
but we have a training camp breakdown on the columns page and up to date rosters and depth charts

Good energy to this evening's practice. My take on the first few days of camp (i'm a DB, coach DBs, so I mostly focused on them and in turn the receivers).
Keon Raymond is the best DB they have. Bar none. He lined up at halfback, weak corner, Sam backer. He shut his guys down.
Keenan MacDougall (safety) has impressed me the times I've made it out.
Chris Randle (LB) has been pretty solid as far as rookies go. He lined up as the Sam backer and he did well. Schooled Lewis on 1 on 1s.
Quincey Butler is arguably the most athletic player on the field. Played mostly defensive halfback I believe. Looks like he has attitude though. Hufnagel had to tell him off once (that's what it looked like to me sitting 15 rows up).
Lobendahn looked good.
All the receivers had drops except for Lewis, Franklin, and Bauman (sorry moon). Franklin had the two best catches of the day, tight coverage and somewhat acrobatic.
QBs were not stellar. Early in camp, no need to worry. Mitchell has looked the best. Glenn and Sinopoli are playing at the same level as the dinos QB though.
Didn't see much of the running backs or linemen. Matt Walter (rookie rb) was not in pads this evening, not sure why.
Jadon Wagner (DL) hurt something, just caught it in the corner of my eye. He was down screaming, had to be carted off.
Nik Lewis. Not a fan of his, as an opposing fan but he is a darn good football player. I think he put on even more weight though. He looks as big as a few of the linemen. I truly think he is the heart and soul of the Stampeders. His leadership skills were evident this afternoon at the practice.
I think the Aussie Cough is a better punter than Maver, but I haven't seen much of either.
Man it's good to see football back (even if it's the Stamps). Not sure if I'll be able to make it down to anymore practices but if I find the time I will.

Just as an addon a whole bunch of new content has been added to the site including columns, the gostampsgo radio archives, pictures from practices and practice reports.
The new forum will go live this weekend.

Another add on.
We've gone line with the forum on our site, we've still kept the GoStampsGo link active til the owners decide to close it down.
Hopefully we'll see some of you hardcore stamps fans there.
The link to the forum can be found under the forum menu as the Horesmen forum.

Scott Crough apparently has been released by the Stamps and he apparently found out about it on twitter?
" @DblCoverage I just read that on twitter myself, nobody has told me anything? #shattered -- Scott Crough (@sdcrough)"
That's awful by the Stamps to do that.
I am a little surprises by his release. He seemed to have a monster leg, even his shanked kicks went 40+ yards the days I was there.
