At least is Calgary, you know there will be a break soon enough. When I lived in Brandon, we had 21 days in a row where it dipped below -30C.

By Saturday, the forecast in Calgary is 0C (but with a low of -23C), and then pretty nice after that.

I would imagine it will be coldest in the early morning and warming up throughout the day.

I'm beginning to entertain the idea of living somewhere warmer.

True, but it is still kind of mind blowing. You don't get that kind of change in most parts of the country in a matter of just a few hours.

It's so cold that my decision between staying at my job in Calgary or taking a new one down in Dallas is getting much easier...

Its so cold that you start seeing more idiots driving on the road.

Its amazing what this weather does to people... You'd think they'd never seen cold weather before.

If the prospect of riding my motorcycle daily makes me a ##### than so be it. After 28 years of this, I've had my fill. Mostly it's my gf pushing the idea, which I shrugged off as ######ed before now.

It's awesome every day. Woke up this morning, checked my Twitter feed from the Calgary Herald and saw how cold it was back home. Thought "Nothing could wipe the smile off my face today", ran to work in 25C and treated myself to some fresh peaches from the Wednesday downtown farmer's market.
