yah - they'll probably go from 10,000,000 players to 8,000,000 or something horrible like that.

I thought WOW was starting to see a decline in subscriptions?
If true, after almost 10 years that is pretty good. It can't last forever, it has had a hell of a record setting run but eventually it will have its day. I remember Blizzard employees talking about this in an interview, which is why they are working on the new FPS style MMO.. forget the name now.

It was definitely declining. But a new xpac always brings ppl back. Not sure anybody's managed to top the endgame of WoW yet.

My guild who was struggling to get 10 people on on off-raid nights and raiding with about 23 people for the last 6 months, just broke 45 people online yesterday, and have so many people saying "oh we want to come back and raid blah blah blah".
I think it'll be 2-3 months before we see declines. There's also SO much to do this expansion - especially in the non-raid world, that I don't expect the decline to be as precipitous as it was in Cataclysm when people find out that raiding is difficult.

Last January I declared myself done with this game.
But... I think I'm going to give MoP a go this weekend. It's just too hard to resist. New shinies!

I did it and i'm enjoying it. I'm not liking the 45minute DPS Que for teh new dungeons but when enough people are online thats a non issue. Started leveling my Panada Monk last night and it was pretty fun.

I'm really enjoying the new quest lines so far. So far the opening area is one big long quest chain which tells a big story. I like that rather than just grabbing 150 quests that have no relation to each other.

Is that any different from the Draenei and Worgen starting areas? Is it more incorporated, or pretty much just like those two?

You know what WT - I couldn't tell you that because I didn't play either of those. So upon reflection it is entirely possible this isn't a new feature.

I haven't read this entire thread, so it's possibly been said already.
I keep seeing the commercials on the TV and all I can think of is Kung Fu Panda, seems like they are running out of ideas...

Blizzard created Pandaren long before Kung fu Panda existed.
Still though, it's hard to take a joke race seriously.

Stay strong brother. Fire up a vintage RPG instead, thats what I did. 37 hours played over three weeks instead of three days..

The Pandaren have turned out to be quite fun to quest with. They all have a good sense of humour and don't take themselves seriously...oh, I just figured it out!

I got to play a bit last night. Just messing around with the monk. I'll get good and into this week i'm sure.
Alot more members of the guild are playing. I barely played WoW once D3 game out. I don't think i'll be playing D3 much anymore until im tired of this xpac. D3 kind of got boring to fast. I was just playing for the sake of playing games, lol

I've never been addicted to anything else in my life, but WoW almost cost me my first year of law school.
*shudder*
Never again.
To those of you who can handle the MMORPG monkey on your back, enjoy!
*turns on Borderlands 2*
