What's the best way to drive a luxury car for a while? I wanted something like the Mercedes SLK55. Leasing it would cost too much so I'm thinking of buying a used one like this:

If I put 50K on it,will I have trouble reselling it in a year or two? I'm willing to take $8K-10K hit on depreciation per year but I don't want to be stuck with an old luxury car forever that I have to spend money to maintain.

I look at it this way. If you plan on owning your purchased car for more than 5 years you should buy it, or if you plan on getting one every couple of years you should just lease it. It's whatever makes you happy.

IMO through, i think buying the car is a better investment than leasing.

I financed my car because I honestly see myself owning for at least 10 years. I've done some modifications/upgrades to it as well. I'm very happy with financing it.
