WGMG - when places call things "inferno ____" or "dynamite ______" and you order them expecting them to be spicy enjoyment, and they barely taste like there's even black pepper on them.

Where do you guys go to get your super spicy hot sauces? I'd like to get one for a Christmas present.

I bought some dried ghost chiles from the McKenzie Towne Sobey's just a few days ago.

Try this line:
"Tell the cook to try and kill me..."
It works in some situations... if the right guy is working and he's got his "bag of tricks" with him.
Order straight from the menu and in most cases...you just get the same watered down "stuff" that they serve to the "civilians" .
You've gotta remember that my idea of hot and your idea of hot may be many, many thousands of Scovilles apart...for the average person, a "suicide" wing is Franks.
My "suicide" wing would send the "Franks" guy into convulsions and might even result in a appointment with Mr. stomach pump.
This is something that establishments do not want to deal with...hence the waivers.

These guys learned that the hard way:
Quote:
In a contest that matches humans against some of the world's hottest chili peppers, no one wins. Last week, restaurant in Edinburgh, Scotland, held a competition to eat the extra-hot Kismot Killer curry. Some of the competitive eaters were left writhing on the floor in agony, vomiting and fainting.
According to reports, two British Red Cross workers overseeing the event at the Kismot Indian restaurant in Edinburgh but became overwhelmed by the number of casualties and ambulances were called. Half of the 20 people who took part in the challenge dropped out after witnessing the first diners vomiting, collapsing, sweating and panting.

I just bought some Daves Insanity Ghost Pepper Sauce, and Blaires After Death. Both damn good.
Daves- dab of a tooth pick, burned the mouth for about 10 minutes. Lots of flavor. Very spicy. I was expecting it to be hotter.
Blairs- dab of a tooth pick, burned for about 3-4 minutes intensely, amazing flavor. I was also expecting this to be hotter, but the burn you got for the first minute or two was quite overwhelming, and warm. Like it a lot.

I just picked up a can of this because I was tired of my wife coming home with salsa that claimed to be hot, but was actually tomato pee.
It was everything I would have hoped. My face went numb after a while. I will need to pick up more nachos on the way home.

I've had some hot and spicy food, but probably nothing compared to some of the stuff people have already posted. I was given some onions or peppers once that made my ears burn, they were so hot. It was painful. I was around 13 and a couple of my friends dads were making something and they asked us if we liked hot food and if we wanted to try the onions/peppers. I made them laugh pretty good when I sprinted straight for the kitchen sink and drank directly from the tap. After that my friends declined testing out the onions/peppers.

I've tried what purported to be a ghost pepper, ordered online - it was hot (to the point of being flavourlessly hot), but it wasn't terrible. Not terribly good, either. I have some bhut jolokia sauce, but I only use a drop or two at a time to spice up a burger.
Hottest ever? The wing challenge at McKibbin's Irish Pub in Montreal. It took me a good hour to finish the dozen wings, and I went through two pints of milk and a dish of ice cream afterwards.
