I also saw Gremlins at Studio 82, when studio 82 was a movie theatre.

The old Palace theatre. I remember seeing Aliens and sitting in the balcony.

I remember going with my dad to get lumber from the Co-op in Beddington and getting really upset that he wouldn't buy me a Spiderman Fanny Pack.

Boy, my dad sure saved my ass on that one.

#2. It doesn't seem to be exclusive to young people. People in general just can't put the damn phone away.

Zuckerberg launched Facebook in 2004, when he was 20 years old, and is now worth $13.5 Billion at age 27.

I joined CP in 2002, and made a lot of posts.

Oh man, remember when Co-op had a hardware department and sold clothes and stuff like that?

Also, when they put up all those green and yellow Spruce Meadows banners around town, I kept thinking they were somehow related to Beaver Lumber. Then I'd remember that Beaver Lumber closed down nearly 20 years ago.

And don't forget the Co-op lumber yard where you drove your vehicle right in - and loaded up, paying on your way out.

Hearing cover version of songs of your youth like "Last Xmas". Worse yet, there's actually more than one cover version of this song.

Wouldn't it be nice still for the average male to kick the bucket at the age of 40 like yester-years.

Chinook Centre makes me feel old for a number of reasons. First off, the amount of stores that upon entering, the first thought in my head is "could someone please turn down the music?". Secondly, the age and attire of some of the girls in that place makes me feel dirty and sad all at the same time. Lastly, I instantly remember what the mall was like before the renovations. When the highlight of that mall was taking a girl on a "date" to Easy Street.

Having tried rum with Coke, New Coke, Classic Coke, Coke Zero, and still wish they hadn't screwed with the recipe I don't care what anyone says Classic Coke is different than Coke.

Another thing that makes me feel old looking forward to Naps now more than ever.

Was looking through a photo album I got from mom, and there is a photo of me as a baby in front of a TV, and Neil Armstrong is walking on the moon (or sound stage)...

For all my life NHL players have been much older than me. I've always looked at them as older guys, childhood heroes. But now I'm 22 and players that are younger than I am are breaking into the NHL, and even becoming superstars...

So did I!

Also Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

In fact I remember clearly the discussion I was having with my buddies on why it wasn't called Revenge of the Jedi.

We then went to the Stampede and one of the rides had some blurb about "Revenge" of the Jedi.

Oh how we laughed.

Shouldn't it be some memory involving Hero of the Soviet Union Yuri Gagarin?

Also it sounds like your mom was part of the Politburo....having a tv and all.
