that makes perfect sense. A QB is not going to get any growth related to playing time with the Colts. That and they get sick of shouting "Idaho! Idaho! Omaha! Omaha! several times over.

Yeah, I was just going to post something along the lines of, who's going to want to play in Indy except for a guy wanting to hold a clip board. Really Collins is a pretty good option given the experience he has. You'll never replace Peyton Manning, but Collins is a guy who could go in there and guide them to a 1-2 record type of thing if Manning was to miss say three games.

Why is CJ holding out when he still has 2 years on his contract? Is it different in the NFL where you can restructure a contract even before the existing one expires?
If not shouldn't he be honoring his contract and be in camp right now and let his agent work things out or wait until his contract expires?

Normally i would agree with you, but this instance i believe he is justified in his stance.
he has completely outplayed his deal thus far for starters, and the playing life of a rb is generally a short one as it is...on top of that the club has already agreed to give him a new deal so he is just waiting til he has it signed as he could blow his knee out if he goes back early and all his guarenteed money and leverage is gonzo.
normally i would agree with you, but in this insta

I agree. This isn't like TO who signed a big money deal and then wanted to renegotiate. This is still his rookie deal and he is making just over 1 million bucks. He may only have a good 5 more years in him so I agree its not fair that he play for the next 2 years and sacrifice his body for only that. Might not even make it the next two years.
Doesn't look good right now between he and the Titans though as i heard he said today they are still not seeing eye to eye even after th emeeting tommorow. I just can't see them holding out with him too much longer and my fantasty team sure can't either...

Thoughts on the Redskins? Who starts at QB? Both Grossman and Beck has been decent in preseason. Over-under 6 wins?

Under. Grossman/Beck may be the league leader in the "Suck for Luck" campaign.

Janikowski is my favourite football player. He's over on the bench stuffing his face with hot dogs and beer then the coach gets his attention:
"Hey, we need you to kick a 57 yard FG off the infield dirt".
"Ooooook boss"
And he nails it straight down the middle with about 7 yards to spare!

I'm pretty freaking impressed with Von Miller so far. Denver's defense is vastly improved over last year. If they can stay healthy, because depth is an issue, they may surprise some people.
Von Miller, though......wow.

Colts activated Peyton Manning from the physically unable to perform list, meaning he now can start practicing.
Great news to hear this morning!

Especially if you just drafted Reggie Wayne in fantasy.

Eagles extend Michael Vick, 6 years 100 million, 40 guaranteed. Bye, bye bankruptcy.

Yeah I was thinking about it, but I just don't have the money to get to Seattle from Alberta. I miss being able to drive there the day of the game.
