I'm ok with age differences. My wife and I are 8 years apart...but that does seem rather extreme.

I know several 16 year olds...and at a bit more than twice their age, I find that we're just too different in life experience to find much common ground. I can't imagine the gulf at over 3 times their age.

8 Years, 12 Years, 16 Years.......you're still within the generational ballpark. 35 Years.....that's a gulf of (basically) 2 generations.

Beyond the age range, it's the fact that she's sixteen that bothers me. Watching the latest video was a mistake as it reminds me just how unwise a 16 year old girl is. They needed parental consent for marriage, and to make consumating the marriage legal.

General rule of thumb (imo)......if posting the "Wedding Night Video" gets you a child pornography sentence, she's probably not old enough to get married.
