Safety standards exist for a reason. I'm not saying his death was deserved by any stretch; but you that is lesson one of any machine-related safety orientation. Never try to repair a machine while it's running, and never stick your hands near any moving parts. It's unfortunate, but not following the rules is what leads to these things.

It's too late for him though, but I hope other people learn from his past..a...

Yes, it could have been worse. He could've died in Edmonton.

So let me get this straight: 1) the guy works for his girlfriend's father, 2) he got her pregnant but by how it sounds hasn't even put a ring on her yet (it says future son-in-law, but says they're only dating. Maybe it was just assumed he'd become a son in law at some point), and now he's ravioli. Coincidence, or natural chain of events?

Haha I know, I picked up the pun. I just thought maybe it was also true, I know nothing further besides this article, figured someone had dug deeper. Either way, a man dying horrifically under the watch of the father in law...once you get over the sadness/gruesomeness of it, there's a joke in there somewhere.

So you want some posters to relax and chill when jokes are made that they find inappropriate?

How about you and the others who get so uptight about it just relax and chill if you don't like how they respond to those inappropriate comments?

Easy there cowboy.

You can't control what is posted, you can only control your reaction to it. If you don't like it, and it bothers you just don't participate in the thread. There's plenty of other threads on the board that require a critical evaluation of morals; the election thread and the Liberal party homers could use a good dose of your appropriateness.

Post of the year.

I will say it so it is on record for all time. If I ever get sucked into a giant pasta machine, or die in any sort of pasta related manner... that is what I want put on my headstone.

This is a horrible tragedy and painful to think about, but I won't let it grind at me.
