With bottles or cans, I prefer Pepsi.
From the fountain, I prefer Coke.
But both are fine. We alternate back and forth with those mini-can 6 packs. I can't even finish a full can anymore. Actually that Coke with the green label is pretty good -- I think it's half real sugar and half artificial. Tastes miles better than the diet/zero options and is significantly less sugar and calories than the real deal.

Where's PepsiFree? I feel like he'd have an opinion on this.

Cola Wars was excellent. Another very good three or four part documentary of History that recently came out was "The Food that Built America." It was actually a docu-drama but it really highlighted the development and emergence of companies like Post, kelloggs, Hershey's, Heinz, KFC, etc.

If I remember correctly the green can is Coke Life. I don't know they make that stuff anymore. I got a couple free cans from the grocery store when it first came out and I remember it being a really smooth and mellow drink.

Diet Dr. Pepper is my go to. I love it out of a can, but don't like it out of a plastic bottle. That reads like I'm trying to be quirky, but I mean it fr.
Diet coke for mixing with rye. Diet Dr. Pepper doesn't mix well for some reason. Idgaf if it's diet Pepsi, though. Diet coke and diet Pepsi are both delicious with rye.
Going to a movie today and I'm looking forward to cherry diet Mr. Pibb...that stuff is awesome.

I've been trying, what I'm trying to do is only ever have diet pop when I'm having something else to eat, like with a meal.
Works pretty well during the week, I usually only have one with lunch.
Weekends not quite there yet, but I find if I don't have it all by itself my overall level of hunger does seem to decrease (not sure if it's due to just having one, or if it's because I have it with actual calories).

The food that made America was an excellent series and a must watch as well as the Cars that made America. I'm not a huge fan of the History Channel anymore because it really doesn't cover a lot of History. The Smithsonian Network is excellent. But History knocked it out of the park with hose documentaries.

No, it doesn’t. The taste is sweeter than coke and doesn’t have the acidic bite at the end.

Yes I was totally wrong. The only time I had it was in a layover in Lima and I really can't recall how it tasted.

I don't drink much soda anymore, but when I did, if I was offered a choice, it was
Pepsi Max
Coke Zero
Pepsi/Coke
Still won't touch the Diet versions, as they both taste undrinkably bad to me.

I haven't regularly drank pop since my teen years. Only time I drink pop is with fast food and I agree with those saying that they prefer fountain drinks over the bottle/can. It tastes less sweet for me.

Water. And beer. And wine. And cocktails, but never including any soft drink except for ginger ale.

Dr Pepper and rum is a thing?
Huh... I have my reservations, but I guess I'll have to try Dr Pepper as a cola mix alternative.

I try not to drink a lot of pop anymore because of the obvious reason of it not being good for you. But I still enjoy it whenever I do drink it on the odd occasion. I prefer Coke, but I don't mind Pepsi either. Most pop still taste delicious to me, so I'm not that picky.
