So what the heck is in town now flying around making a bunch of racket?
I'm in the NW and usually its pretty quiet in my area from any plane sounds. For the last 10 minutes I've been hearing some pretty decent jet sounds (to the point I couldn't hear the TV) but can't see anything outside.
EDIT: Nevermind. Forgot about the Football Game. Apparently it was just a Jet Fly-By for the game.
Was in Seattle this weekend and we went to the Boeing plant in Everett. Unfortunately, they don't allow cameras on the tour but I got this pic of one of the four Dreamlifters. It's a modified 747 used to carry 787 fuselage parts to the plant. Just behind it you can see one of the new 747-800s in its green protective coating waiting for paint and another in the foreground, right all painted up.
We saw the 747, 777 and 787 assembly lines and the 767 line from a distance. It was a very cool tour.

I've noticed where I am in Shanghai that there are very frequent jet flyovers. We get jets flying over this part of the city every few hours. Just heard one fly over now. I first noticed them a couple of years ago, but Shanghai is the type of place where that's a very easy thing not to notice.
I just always think it's interesting, but everyone here is too busy to pay attention to them.
Edit: Just to clarify, I am talking about fighter jets, not passenger jets.

I remember going out to the airport (back in the Spring of 2003) when "the really big one" (An-225) paid a visit to YYC.
That was something to see...
I was working out of the Esso Avitat when the Antinov was there and got to watch them unload it from a few feet away. It was an amazing sight to see. From the nose opening to the crane inside and watching them take tanks, jeeps, helicopters and more out of there. NEver got to go in, that would have been super cool but oh well. I also remember standing beside the tires and they came up to my armpits. Amazing plane.
