And now for a distraction from the "Drury18 should have their High School Diploma and University Degree taken away twice today" show:

Abbotsford now guaranteed to head into the all-star break in first place in the Western Conference. Now at 31-14-3-1 for 66 points.

I take it the all-star teams have not been named yet?

there is only 1 team this year and it was named a while ago. The AHL all-star team is playing an SEL team

Street is the only Heat representative I believe.

edit: I am moron. Billins also made it.

Wotherspoon was a beast tonight! Easily his best game as a pro (that I've seen).

A few weeks ago, Breen had to carry Wotherspoon on his back. Now, in some cases, Wotherspoon is carrying O'Brien on his back and bailing him out at times. Wotherspoon's also being played against the top players. Ward has done a pretty good job dividing up the defensive minutes between O'Brien/Wotherspoon and Smith/Ramage (Billins and Lamb have logged mostly offensive zone minutes).

Wotherspoon is progressing nicely folks. In a couple of seasons we could have a half-decent shutdown guy on our hands.

I thought Billins was too? Or is that last year?

Ramage's point totals are incredibly misleading. The kid is very good in the offensive zone, just not getting good bounces.

Who is the heat PBP guy? Sounds pretty good. Maybe sportsnet can groom into something. Watching Flames on Sportsnet is brutal.

Ryan Pinder was better. Would love to see Kerr get the punt and Pinder take his job.

Not trying to pick on anyone here, but loving someone losing their job is at least a poor choice of words

I hate Kerr as a play by play guy. He never should have gotten the job in the first place.

Hmmm...didn't realize AHL shoot out rules are different than the NHL. Went to bed after Drury18 posting Billins missed thinking they had lost. Guess not.

Yes, the AHL uses 5 rounds to determine a winner instead of 3. I prefer it to the NHL rules myself.

I hope the AHL all-star team beats the hell out of Färjestad.
