Just rolling the shoulders forward and putting the hands forwards puts pressure on my neck in a bad way that sets in after about an hour or two of playing. Just seems more ergonomic and natural playing with a controller, that's just me though and might not be the same for you at all. With a controller there's much much less muscle tension and my job is pretty demanding so whatever I can do to relax better.
Fallout is definitely a K+M game for me. I'd much rather play any FPS or RPG on my computer, rather than on a console. Easier to control and to manage items.
Plus, mod support will always be way better on a PC - I see that consoles will offer it for FO4, but I'm skeptical as to the limitations of what they can achieve.

The good thing about games like this is that getting in early while there is a large playerbase isn't a necessity like multiplayer games. A couple months down the road after some patches and sale prices is when I'll jump in.

That's what pissed me off about the Assassins Creed franchise (among other things). I'm a platinum trophy whore and it pissed me off so bad that they had ridiculous multiplayer trophies (like reach lvl 50) yet the community dies down after a few months.
Then with the next gen, you were forced into paying PS+ whereas online was free before.
I want this game so badly.but without being able to purchase the pip-boy edition i wont be buying it first day.
Why? The pip-boy edition is a colossal waste of money in my mind. When is anyone ever going to be able to use that thing? Sure it sounds cool in theory, but it's unbelievable impractical and a complete money grab. Genius on bethesda's part though. I just have a feeling those things will end up collecting dust on people's shelves.
I'll gladly save my money and just buy the game, which is all that matters.

Reading this thread has piqued my interest in this game. Only Fallout title I have played was the Shelter one for Android.
So I take it this is an open world type game? Kinda like HL2 but not so linear? Is that about right? Obviously there are missions to do but it's an open world you can explore at your leisure?
I saw Fallout3 was on sale on Steam recently, would that be worth trying out or is it a little dated now?
