Man. If didn't win those last two games against SJS and ANA after we were eliminated, we'd still be at 73pts and have sole possession of the 5th overall pick right now. Not to mention an 8.5% shot at #1 instead of 6%.

The ducks are such trash... year 6 of drafting in the top 10 coming up and they are still godawful. They seem to the new place flashy high draft picks go to have their potential sewered. Not only did they cost the flames positioning after they've already more than had their turn feeding at the draft trough, the kings walked all over them tonight probably gifting the oilers a first round match-up with the kings instead of the Knights and pushing Vegas into the other divisional bracket with the star and avs.

If the nucks get the preds that divisional bracket is looking pretty soft

Lemieux did score 85 goals in 76 games during the 88-89 season.

The 4 team dog pile in the eastern conf. continues for 8th place. The Islanders haven't clinched and can be caught by any of the 4 teams below them. The Flyers have woken up as they won again, Ersson made 20 saves for the SHUTOUT. The Flyers PP was 0/3. The Capitals and Red Wings with gutsy wins to stay in this race.

The Rangers get the SO win over the Islanders and need to win their last game to clinch 1st place in the conf. and overall. The Hurricanes have the tiebreaker on them. The Islanders need 1 point to clinch a playoff spot.

The Panthers and Bruins winning along with the Leafs OTL and the Lightning's regulation loss means the Leafs are locked into 3rd place in the Atlantic Division. The Lightning's loss means that they finish 4th in the division.

The Stars win means they will finish at least 2nd in the western conf. The Jets and Avs will be 2nd or 3rd in the Central Division and will play each other in the 1st round of the playoffs. The Jets pounded the Avs along with Hellebuyck's 30 save SHUTOUT. The Predators who were locked into 4th place in the Central with losses earlier this week beat the BJs 6-4. Good game as both teams tied in shots, 37-37.

The Canucks win over the Oilers keeps them in the race for 1st place in the western conf. The Canucks have the tie breaker of the Stars. The Kings have won 5/6 get revenge as they defeated the Ducks 3-1. Big save Dave with 29 saves. The Kings only loss in the past 6 games was against the Ducks.
