Canada is 69th in the world in doctors per capita. At one point in the 1970s we were second. I haven’t studied what has caused this decline but our health care system is nothing to be proud of anymore. I don’t think anyone has solutions or if they do, it’s not politically feasible.

Isn't Neurvana Health run by Jason Kenney's brother and sister-in-law? The clinic that was closed down in BC because they were psychologically torturing kids? The ones who claim homosexuality can be "cured?"
UPDATE: I have since learned they are two different companies unaffiliated.

I cannot believe she has a good chance of being elected while spouting such BS.

I kind of wonder about this. At the time her leaving the wild rose after they refused to to pass the all people are equal resolution seemed like her standing up for people knowing that social conservatives needed to moderate. Looking back now it looks like this was just opportunism and she wanted to get off what she thought was a sinking ship with her reputation still intact.
I think it’s possible that she just went down the alt right rabbit hole like many people did. I’m 50/50 on used to be better now worse or always bad.

I always hear “a leopard can’t change their spots” or “when someone shows you who they are, believe them” but then also told we should believe someone like notley has changed because reasons. Like I’ve said before, I’m voting for my NDP candidate, but you really need to work on your messaging.

It’s not a great comparison. Danielle Smith has been consistently horrible and abhorrent. Notley, not so much. I am more inclined to trust Notley had a genuine change of heart because not everything her or her party did was based on self-enrichment or to secure votes from the worst of society.

She's also proven it. We've seen Notley stand up and fight for Alberta oil. Actions speak louder than words, Smith has just been words

Ah, this is easy. Notley isn't a #### leopard, Smith is. Notley took the advice of experts, listened to their advise, and altered her actions based on that. She is a person capable of doing that, which is exactly the type of person that makes a good leader. She showed us who she is, someone who can change.
Smith has shown us for over 2 decades she has horrible judgment, a massive inability to evaluate facts, and, well, has told us directly she has no time for the opinion of experts. She's also shown her promises aren't worth the novelty cardboard they are written on. By saying she won't discuss some pretty huge issues, like the arena deal, pension, police, and pandemic preparedness until after the election should maybe tell you she is trying to avoid being caught in more blatant lies.

Ahahah! Listen to the experts now. Man, listening to this, and contrasting it to what she told people to do during the covid pandemic (ignore experts, decide on your own safety, #### everyone else) is pretty wild. What a leader.

Maybe Smith should put her money where her mouth is and restore firefighter funding.
What a mouth-breathing blowhard.

ha, i guess it's different when you're a radio host and when you're a leader.

Does she not have a modern cell phone with image stabilization? At least get a little $3 tripod for it or something.

With rural areas being UPC strongholds and these fires devastating rural areas (and UPC cuts to fire services), I wonder if this will cause some rural voters to reconsider their UCP support. Maybe not enough to have an impact.

I suspect the majority of those voters affected won't make that link unfortunately.
