Aporia was an unexpectedly emotional hit.
I've not heard anybody speak of this movie, and didn't know it existed before yesterday; I went in hoping for a fresh take on time travel, but I was genuinely moved by the story’s depth.
It centres on a grieving family, and when the chance to alter a single moment in their past arises, they confront the heavy cost of making that choice.
What really stood out to me was how the film avoided getting bogged down in sci-fi technobabble. Instead, it uses time travel as a tool to dive deep into the kind of moral and emotional dilemmas that anyone could relate with.
As it unfolded, I found myself feeling just as invested in the characters’ decisions as they were. The way the film tackles the human side of time travel, showing how one small change ripples outward, worked quite well and made it all more haunting and real.

Trap - M Knight and Josh Hartnett movie. I just caught this one and was sort of excited about it. Without giving any spoilers, I can just comment that I wanted more. There were opportunities with the actors and writing, and it just felt too shallow.
2.5/5 - could be lower too, but I was still somewhat entertained.

I wish people would understand that no one gives a #### about their kids. Yeah, you think they're the most incredible thing on earth and so talented but that doesn't mean you need to create an entire film a to trick everyone into watching them showcase their singing. The amount of running time dedicated to the stage show and songs was absurd.

Trap was God awful. Are you saying the artist at the center of it was M Knight's kid? I had no idea, helps explain the awfulness.

Watched "Rumours" felt like a movie that thought it was way wittier than it was. Boring slog, would not reccomend. 2/10.

Watched Longlegs last night.
What a waste of time and reaffirms you simply can't trust rotten tomatoes. Best part was it was only 1:41 long

I recommend Rocky 6: Rocky Balboa. It's about a very popular but way past his prime former boxing champion getting into the ring one last time with a much younger opponent in his prime. There is also a giant media circus that follows this fight. I know it's kinda unbelievable but that's the movies for you.

Stallone's two icon comeback movies were both really entertaining. I really liked the old man version of Rambo, too.

Rocky Balboa was excellent. And it had the corniest, most cliche speech about perseverance that is one of my favorite movie scenes ever.

Decided to put on Limitless today while I did some work intending to background it. Haven't seen it since the theatres I think. Ended up watching it through. Just a tight, entertaining movie. Not overly long. Not trying to be anything grander or whatever.

Yea, it’s a fun watch for sure, nothing groundbreaking, but I’ll watch it every 2-3 years.

Watched Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and it was much better than I was expecting, given the slew of other decades late sequels that have been complete trash. If they cut Monica Belucci's character or at least given her something to actually do it would have been a near perfect sequel. As it is, it's a solid 7/10 with Catherine O'Hara stealing every scene she's in and a very satisfying way to include Charles Deetz's character while avoiding the poison pill actor

Absurdist satires aren’t necessarily my cup of tea, and I don’t think this one changed my mind. But I found the dialog in this movie to be subtly hilarious.
I thought it would be better, but I enjoyed it

Is there any reason he is called Longlegs? He doesn't have long legs. Did the film just need a cool title?
When the answer to probably at least a dozen 'wtf is that moments' (or sub plots) is 'devil stuff!' that's just lazy/sloppy/poor writing and makes watching it pointless.
Bad film is bad

Watched the Wild Robot. It had potential but I think with all modern movies the script is rushed and they missed some really good stuff.
Had potential to rock as hard as Iron Giant but fell well short.
I didn't like how emotions and plot advancement just materialized out of nowhere.

I appreciate what Strange Darling was trying to do but I don’t like how they went about doing it. Fantastic looking film though for sure

Expected to hate Red One but I had fun with it. Will probably add it to my Christmas rotation going forward.

God red one was dumb but the mythical spy network aspect was original and mildly fun.
Leaning into the adult humor could've elevated it. They should've had Evans find a wonder woman action figure in the post creds.
