Krebs could be a guy I'd try to sign to $1.5M, which has no compensation, but will likely give him a 20-30% pay bump.
Not for an offer sheet, but a straight up trade... parsinnen is an interesting one. When the preds played calgary, he was the best guy on his line by a large margin, but his linemates put up bricks. Average defensively, but good instincts offensively as a center.

Exactly the kind of guy, one year away from being a rookie, that calgary should target. I think that he is being buried in Nashville.

Yes, and all the reasons you listed for trading for Parsinen are good reasons for the Preds to keep him. I think they still have about 3M of cap space, and he's a RFA.

Who would the Preds want from the Flames that would help them win now, at a low cap hit? Coronato? Pospisil? Miromanov? Bahl? It doesn't seem to make sense for the Flames.

If we could get him for a pick or a D prospect it might make sense, but I don't see the need for NSH.

Yes, I would guess Bourque is the most likely guy if one is to leave. Giving him 2.4 million is a bit of a risk but he is a center that has lit up the AHL. That same summer they also need to sign Oettinger so Bourque could be the odd man out.

I'm shocked Barrie would go back there. He seemed to be not so happy they dumped him originally.

Who says he would go back? Just because the Oilers are looking at him, doesn't mean he's looking back at them.

He probably likes money and doesn’t exactly have teams lining up for his services as it’s end August and he’s without a job

100%. He is extremely good at reposting what we all hear and claiming it as his own. He is probably a decent reporter, but a phony as an insider.

They sell him on the chance to finish the job and he signs for league min. Wait for it.

I really think the Flames should be sniffing around on an offer sheet for Thomas Harley. Any idea what the cost would be?

The Flames' 1st and 3rd round picks are tied up in conditions (so can't be used) and Dallas would match any number in the 2nd round range. So, no point.

The Flames should not be offer sheeting anyone right now either way, their picks will be high.

Draft and develop. Sounds boring but it’s what we need to do. Don’t be the smartest person in the room for a few years and try to quicken this rebuild. Nothing complex or crazy. Draft and develop.

Believe Barrie was a well liked guy in that room. I’d bet he also knows full well the reasons why the Oilers made that trade and why he was included. It doesn’t serve any good at all to hold grudges.

If I were in his shoes, I’d be willing to sign a one year league min deal so long as there was a promise/understnding that they would not trade Barrie.

Tyson Barrie doesn’t need the money.

Tyson Barrie at this point likely will take whatever work he can find. I imagine he liked playing in Edmonton and would be happy to go back given the chance. Even Justin Schultz would likely see the current Oilers quite differently than what he played with almost 9 years ago.

I have no clue what Shultz's advanced numbers look like. He's not young, but doesn't quite seem like a player who should be pushed out of the league. Although a year beside Nurse and that might be the same as signing his retirement papers.

How many of you would opose Klingberg on a PTO? He's a much better player than what he has shown over the last two seasons.
