lol, it wasn't an argument. just because you are in love with Crosby doesn't make the fact that Ovechkin is better any different.
and while Canada did win gold, don't forget the Swiss game, the US games, the Slovakia game. games aren't played on paper.
ahh. forget it.. I knew raising this point would get all your panties in a bunch. zero objectivity.

We struggled with our A roster to win against a young team that had no business competing! What planet are YOU living on??

You are out of your mind.
We are a relatively young team, and our best players for the most part were the young ones, not the old ones.

I wonder what kind of experience the "olympic village" will be for the athletes? I'm sure it'll be an experience like no other!

Bouwmeester, Phaneuf, and countless others I can't think of right now.
Thornton did nothing this Olympics, I don't think he'll be missed, Marleau is easily replaceable (Stamkos), we've got Taylor Hall, Seguin coming up in this draft, plus 3 other drafts to look forward to.

But we won. So what is your argument again? That we won't have talent to replace these players?
You do know that is ridiculous, right?

Haha, no, you're just like Luke Skywalker, you've picked the right side.
What an amazing ending. Just like a movie. The whole Olympics, not just the game.

but not with ease as many are eluding to.
sorry for thinking Boyle, Niedermayer, Pronger, Thornton, Marleau, Iginla, Luongo won't be easily replaced.
anyone have the stats of the Canadian roster @ these Olympics?

I would say that Boyle, Thornton, Marleau, Iginla, and Luongo all have a serious shot at being there
there were some pretty amazing talents, all young enough to last at an elite level for four more years, that were left OFF this team
forget about the youngins who showed up at the right team who did make it

i'm willing to put this behind the fact that Canada won gold. speculating this is getting a bit annoying. I think USA, AT THE MOMENT, has just as much young talent as we do with less older pieces to replace.
remmeber we lost to them once, and won in OT another.

“All of a sudden, he was yelling for me,” said Iginla. “He was yelling pretty urgently. It was awesome to see him get it. After he missed the third-period breakaway, going into the dressing room before overtime was pretty tough on him. But he kept battling.”
Asked what he yelled at Iginla, Crosby laughed at the question. “Iggy!” he replied.
Iginla put it on his stick, and the rest is history.
“It was a great little pass down low,” explained Crosby. “I just threw it at the net. I didn’t aim it. I just shot it. I didn’t see it go in. I just heard everybody screaming.”

Guys like Iginla, Luongo and Marleau can be at the next Olympics. Niedermayer and Pronger were 2 of the 3 worst defensemen at this Olympics. Thornton was one of the worst 3 forwards.

i just want to say it was tough to replace Mario, Yzerman, MacInnis, Shanahan, Fleury, Blake, Nieuwendyk, and Sakic as well
but we did it
