If McLaren or any team being was a clear #2 team all year, Perez would be costing RB the constructors championship.
Next year looks like McLaren could be a real threat. If Perez stays and continues to "drive" the way he is now than RB is in trouble.
The upgrades to the floor and the beam wing have been really impressive. Car looked amazing in the S curves at Suzuka, must have been really fun to drive through that sector.
Lando should be quick at Interlagos.

Me thinks Perez is deep down inside his own head and can't get out. I don't envy anyone driving next to Verstappen, but the Perez of old is definitely not there. Two races in a row with absolutely bone headed mistakes. At this point, just put Lawson in the RB for fun, and put Perez in the AT.
It probably doesn't help Perez's mental state knowing he is Max's bitch, and even if he does better than Max, they'll find a way to put Max back in front. That's gotta suck to know. Bottas went through these cycles racing with Lewis, probably in similar situation.
Is it something cultural at RBR? The second car hasn't had much consistency since the Honey Badger left.
I call it the Curse of Baku. Ever since Honey Badger and Mad Max had the major coming together there in 2018 they've struggled to get anything out of the second car.
Having a wanker like Helmet there doesnt help at all either.
Update on Taranto. Day 1 was lots of fun as it was windy and the races were done in under 5 mins each. Day 2 was completely different. Hardly any wind and the 4th and 5th races took 15 mins. The final race was a dud. The wind dropped to 6 kph and the teams were left bobbing around. They made 2 gates in the allotted time and it was cancelled.

Figured I'd post this here as well, but if anyone is looking for a full sim racing setup, I'm going to be upgrading mine. Definitely a CP discount if someone wants it all. I've got it on Kijiji for $1800, but I hate dealing with people from ads there.

Good catch, forgot it was a sprint weekend. Qualifying looks like 11pm MST...so lots go with that. Lots of notice, so I'll be a stickler...
Maybe next year we make it Thursday midnight?? Removes any time zone issues and no practices for us all to pick Max P1. lol. Might also help if people leave for weekends and forget to get picks in.
