Oil Change is even more humorous to watch now than it was when first broadcast.
I particularly enjoy having hockeydb at the ready: "This guy will be our new enforcer" (Played 32 games, then out of the organization). "Love to have him @ 31! (in the draft)" (Played 58 games in Edmonton, now an NHL regular in another organization.)

Seems the no goods ruined the 50/50 for all.
Flames have suspended their 50/50 draws.

Going by wtd avg age, the Oilers are right on league avg at 28.0 (and rank 16th or 17th, I forget which).
The Flames, BTW, are a little below avg at 27.7 (tied with the Lightning and Pens)

Using that excuse - even if it were true, which it isn't - doesn't provide any leverage to the team, it is simply an indictment of management.

4 #1s, a #8 and a #10

I don’t understand why the oilers didn’t move to infinitely scalable cloud immediately to save this debacle of monumental proportions.
And who gets hurt by this? Charities.
That’s truly no good.

My favorite Oil Change moment was them talking about the Belanger signing, and him wanting a third year showed how much players believed 'in what they were building.'
A 34 year old journeyman bottom 6 forward was able to get over $800K more from the Oilers (would have been more without the compliance buyout) because he played to their egos. Well done Eric and agent.

That whole video was hilarious from start to finish. I am glad I didn't watch it when it first came out, but with hindsight, everything in it is gold. From the cheesy guitar music that plays when they are showing the Hollywood sign, to all the ass kissing that goes on. Just look at how people were fake laughing and over-enthusiastically nodding in approval any time someone said something. It reminded me of the time I got roped into going to a pyramid scheme presentation without realizing what it was at first.

Pretty classless for them to imply that Souray was the root of the culture problem in Edmonton as well. It's down right libelous actually.

The root of the culture problem is in his $120 million Malibu home.

The whole thing is reminiscent of someone trying to sell time-shares in Florida.

The only thing that really gives me distress about the Oilers these days is trying to figure out which laugh to go with. I am leaning towards the BigT or Mic the Microphone.

If anyone is looking for a nice little salt pile there's a couple of good tidbits in the Neal thread on HF Oil. Some of these jabrones are advocating keeping him around and stapling him to McDavid for more time next season (LOL)

Thats what McDavid really needs on top of a completely useless supporting cast....to be tied to a boat-anchor.

Took a gander over there after seeing this and came across a trade thread. Wow some of their trade requests were hilarious to see. Give one team a ton of garbage for one elite player. Genius!

Thats the wonder of the Edmonton Oilers and why fixing that team will be painful.
They have no assets. They've got some expensive elite players and a whole bunch of expensive garbage.
Mackinnon for Khaira? Pull the trigger!

I honestly can't think of a better result for the flames lol. I guarantee that McDavid would be asking for a trade 20 games into the season.

Updates, there are even jucier bits about McDavid making demands in the tippett thread.
Yum yum yum. No wonder I am banned on HF. I can't help but like some of these posts when I read them lol.

Did Spector hit his head getting out of bed this morning and finally come to his senses? Says the Oilers can't win until McDrai start playing a 200 ft game. No s***. Of course, Oilers fans blame it on everyone but 97 and 29.
