And that was clearly onside for Sterling, but the bad call actually spares his embarrassment.

And that was a red on Dele Alli. Shocking game of reffing.

Agreed. Spurs are totally losing their composure and the officials are letting them get away with it.

Spurs defensively have been pretty poor all game. Better finishing from City and this would 4 or 5-0.

This City team is really good but Spurs should still be embarrassed about their effort today.

Just an abysmal day for Dier and Vertonghen, but mostly Dier.

The thing I've really come to appreciate about this City side is just how relentless they are with the pressing. They do not let you breathe out there, and they have such a ridiculous amount of quality that once they do get the ball they are only one or two passes away from being in a danger area. To be fair to Spurs most teams struggle to keep up with them, but it was indeed embarrassing how weak their fight back to get the ball was once they lost it.

City fans have a terrace chant that's a riff of a song by a band from Liverpool? And it's not ironic? Okay then.

City has bought a nice team there. For me this title should be with an asterisk because it's financial doping. I'm not sore about that for teams like Spurs, because we were just outplayed today and should be able to compete. It's just insane that they have spent as much as they have and then we have to listen to a broadcast drone on and on about the job Pep has done.
And yeah, I do think it's purely money that has bought this. Let's see Pep take a job at Palace or somewhere like that and construct a title challenge on a budget.

Financial doping is a top notch term I must say. I'm just glad I don't cheer for anyone so I can just enjoy watching them play, because they are by a pretty decent margin the most enjoyable PL team I've ever watched. Having money matters, sure, but it's also how you spend it. Spurs spent £30 million on Sissoko, City spent £30 million on Jesus. United spent £160 million on Pogba and Lukaku, City got De Bruyne, Sane, Gundogan and Sterling for the same amount of money. Spurs thought they could sell Walker and bring Trippier in, no loss...Trippier has been ok this season, but was easily the worst player on the pitch today and Walker has improved under Pep. At this point they really don't even need to get Alexis, he'd be a bench player.

I don't have a problem with spending, city being so tied to oil money is a bit unsettling but if the clubs supposedly competing with city want to complain about city then the bottom half of the league can do the same for everyone above them
Only issue in have with city is outlined in this article, which is very dr evil in how they want to take over the world https://www.theguardian.com/news/201...ferran-soriano
In terms of the game, reffing was really bad. 3 clear cut reds missed with otamendi, Kane, and dele. Plus about 10 yellows. The kdb penalty was a horrible tackle attempt by Vertonghen but I also think had a bit of a dive in it.
Either way, better team won, they are miles ahead of the rest of the league and their defense and the deep lying CM isn't really great so they have room to improve which is scary

They are a very good team and Pep deserves a lot of credit for that.
Many a manager has been in a position to spend lots of money and failed miserably.
Repeating myself here but you can throw all the money in the world at a team but it still needs to be structured and managed both collectively and individually.
Crying that they are buying the title reminds me of the constant scouse whining about Fergie doing the same during his years. Anything but give credit where credit is due.

Liverpool is fun to watch. It's going to be a long game for Bournemouth.

next two weeks are going to be crazy again. Brighton and Bournemouth at one point have 45 hours between two matches.

for extra fun, there's League Cup matches this week.

@DanKennett
#LFC have kept 13 clean sheets in the last 24 EPL games, the most by any team in that period
Kind of a funny stat. Certainly wouldn't have thought Liverpool would have been at the top of any defensive categories.
