Interestingly enough, if you compare the earlier photo above with the video the girl is not in the photo. She would have been in the gap behind and to the right of the alleged guilty guy. I think the guy labelled as "D" is looking down at her because she probably ducked for cover. Grainy, but you can match up a bunch of the surrounding people like the baby blue jersey in the bottom right, the guy two to the left in white with a red hat, and the bigger guy behind him in the blue jersey. The alleged girl in the video should be two behind him (behind the guy in the backwards white hat).
Not trying to play internet sleuth trying to out her, just trying to suggest this guy might actually be innocent.

If you go frame by frame on the video holden posted, you can see the guy in a black jacket sort of underhand or fling the can with his right hand. It sort of looks like the "female" that was identified in the earlier video, but I just see an arm up in the air with no throwing motion (unlike the guy in the black jacket -- you can see his hand follow throw in the area that the can originates).
For the record, there is apparently security video that clearly shows the incident; the guy who was identified is denying it was him because his beer was in a cup.
Quote:
Toronto police said they were working closely with Rogers Centre security to identify the man and said they had “very clear images” of the suspect responsible for throwing the can of beer at Kim.
Annnnnd it looks like I'm wrong. Looks like it very well could be him with the backhand. Carry on.
Dumb move but I still feel sorry for the guy. His life as he knows it is probably ruined.
Such is life now a days. 15 years ago you pull a stunt like this and they call you an idiot and you face security/police for punishment. Now a days? Might as a well jump off a bridge if you get caught by the social media investigators.
One dumb move and his life will likely never be the same. I'd predict job loss will be the first domino, that's what the internet always pushes for and the companies usually give in to not face any backlash.

To have no awareness that pulling such a stupid move is guaranteed to spectacularly backfire and end up costing you dearly....sorry, no sympathy. It isn't 15 years ago, it's now. To not know better is moronic since almost everyone in 2016 knows the consequences of doing stupid #### in public. I can't feel sorry for someone who should obviously know better, but doesn't.

I don't know what the guy is like as a person, but he made a dumb mistake. Luckily, nobody got hurt, he shouldn't have his life torn to bits by the internet pitchfork mob.
He is absolutely a victim with respect to any consequences over and above either:
a) Permanent lifetime ban from the SkyDome (or any MLSE event and venue like Leafs/Raps games at ACC if that's their policy)
b) Criminal charges if cops really wanted to charge him with some assault type crime and it stuck
I think lost in all this and well deflected by the Jays is why in the hell is the Rogers Centre still serving alcohol in a can? According to Manfred, the Jays are the ONLY team in MLB that is still serving drinks in a can.
I can't remember the last time I went to any sporting event where I was served a drink in a can.
The guy who threw it is a moron, but the Jays are kind of negligent here. Especially after what happened last year in Game 5 of the ALDS when drinks and cans were reportedly raining down on babies.

I was at Safeco three weeks ago and there were many, many drinks being served in cans. So either Manfred didn't actually say this or he is wrong.
Don't blame the cans, blame the people for not being able to exercise even the slightest bit of self-control and behave like a normal human being.
I guess Manfred was specifically talking about alcohol. Still, I don't think you can leave it in the hands of people to do the right thing, especially drunk people. If every other team can serve alcohol in plastic cups, i'm not sure why the Jays can't.

I was at the Trop last month and they served cans there. Don't the mobile vendors sell cans of beer at the Dome?

Not only did the Devil Rays not serve drinks in cans, but they wouldn't even offer a lid for the cups because - and I quote - "a terrorist could use it to slice your throat". On the one hand, the kid probably made that up. On the other, this was 2004, and the US was still deeply paranoid after 9/11. Moreso even than today.
