This reminds me very much of the Flames season...tons of hype because of a playoff run last year and then...poop

I think the Jays have a much more legitimate chance of repeating playoff performances than the Flames...
The season is 6 months long and we aren't even done the first month. There is a lot of time left. If the Jays get out of April around .500 I like their chances still. No team in the AL East has looked like world beaters yet. Baltimore is coming back to earth, and everyone else is a couple games around .500. The Jays are not out of this.

Did anyone catch the Colabello interview with Jamie Campbell? I'm very torn on the situation as I usually believe guys when they say they didn't know how it happened. However the amount of denials and then admitting to it later that has happened lately makes me more cynical than I was in the past. The one thing I noticed was when Jamie asked for Colabello to say into the camera that he didn't do this on purpose (or something to that effect), he didn't actually respond and say "I didn't do this on purpose". Instead he had a longer flowing answer. It really makes me question the whole thing now.

The weird thing is what he took, from what I understand, was a lock to be caught in testing. So either he didn't know what he was doing, or is very very dumb.

Colabello's plea of innocence was as sincere as Bill Clinton saying he did not have a sexual relationship with a particular young woman....

Uh oh, Estrada being evaluated between every inning and has been shown stretching his shoulder awkwardly while on the mound. Hopefully serious.

Come on now, that's not nice.
Dickey maybe, but not Estrada.

So are we at the point now where we're basically a pitching team despite all our money being in offense? It must feel very tight for Blue Jays pitchers this season to know that you can be pitching a very good game, giving up zero runs, yet your next run given up basically loses you the game.
So frustrating.

I'm trying to remain optimistic but things just don't look good. Russell Martin looks very bad. 0-4 with 4 Ks? That is so god damn pathetic.

As long as a good chunk of the lineup is going to hit .200 or less they're going to be in trouble. It is extremely frustrating though. I know it's early, but you can't just give games away forever, need to start stringing some wins together eventually.

That facial hair that Sanchez is sporting is atrocious.

A hit for Martin. Guess I should have complained earlier!

Hard to believe Martin strikes out 9 consecutive times and then swings at the first pitch and it's a single. What a weird game.

Sanchez looks really good tonight. Perfect game for the bullpen to screw up.
Yes, I'm pessimistic right now, sorry.
