Blue Jays beat Reds 14-9 after trailing 8-0. Entering today, teams with 8+ run lead in last 5 seasons were 1158-6 (99.5%). (h/t Elias)
The truly surprising part of that stat is that it happens just over once per year.

I would like them to compare teams in a similar situation to the Jays. Since it happened early the Jays had 7 innings to make a comeback which might skew the stats if you trail by 8 runs in later innings.

2-0 thanks to a bunch of 2-out walks.

Lawrie has a broken finger. That sucks.
Wonder how long AA can go before pulling the trigger on a deal. Losses are mounting and now injuries to at least Lawrie, maybe Bautista. Can't just keep losing games forever.

This is more that the team's glaring holes are now fully exposed as opposed to being a simple bump in the road. Management really let everyone down by not rounding out the roster a little better to handle times like this.

Fair enough, though they are still in first in the division. Hoping for a turn around, but regardless, it's significantly better than what cheering for this team felt like last season.

Bautista is out for today's game but will not be placed on the DL due to his hamstring injury. Lawrie put on the 15-day DL.

After the Jays' recent struggles at the plate, it felt great to see Lind drive in Cabrera's one-out double straight away.
And three straight hits as Edwin breaks his bat and drops a single into shallow right.
Come on, Jays!

So.........the Jays like playing at home, I guess?
Lind hits a 3 run shot, 6-0 Jays still in the 2nd.

Lost in all the offense tonight is what a great job Stroman has done on the mound. Just finished the 8th inning (and after 113 pitches he's almost certainly done for the night) and gave up only 3 hits and one run along with 7 k's. Awesome job.
