Just sat down at home...so only a few thoughts right now, a whirlwind 13 hours to Seattle and back.
Awesome experience. Defense comes through again, in spite of Wilson. He does just have to make the right play at the right time.
Missed the Sherman thing, so have to watch it via PVR.
A couple pics to follow.

Congratulations to you on the win. Must have been quite the experience being there live. I wasn't cheering for one team over the other in that game but that was an intense ending. Lynch is one heck of a back.
What are your thoughts against Denver?
PS.....Sherman's rant was 3 times. Once with Erin Andrews, once with another male media guy on the field after the game, and then in the post game press conference.

While in the long term it might prove to be the smart move, in the short term the 49ers made a mistake trading Alex Smith. Kaepernick just does not look like a real NFL QB against everyone not named Green Bay at the moment. Until the final drive he had more rushing yards than passing yards and as many rushing attempts as completions (10). The 49ers were built to win now and if Kaepernick doesn't develop big time next year they may have wasted the prime of their Super Bowl window.

^^not only that but Kaepernick gets a big pay raise next year as well I believe? That will also take a big chunk of change to get him signed which takes money away from other Free Agents.

Kaepernick does deserve a raise but he clearly doesnt deserve elite money at this point........ he also has to realize he is the QB of the 49ers and not come across as some rapper from Compton, buy a suit, dude. lose the headphones

His straight brimmed, crooked backward, snap back hat looks so stupid. Guy needs to grow up and look like a professional - guys like Brady, Manning, Wilson, Strahan, etc. I haven't disliked a player as much as I dislike Kapernick since Vince Young. Gimmicky QB is gimmicky.

He still has another year on his contract. They can start discussion an extension this year.
With the new rookie cap, the first contract can't be extended until the final year.

Id bet he gets at least 15MM...if he would have made the Superbowl this year Id think that would easily be 20MM...still might be.

Shorter term too, which will save the 49ers from a long term mistake. 4 years/$50-60M with maybe $18-20M guaranteed so when he inevitably gets injured or he can't only play Green Bay, the 49ers can walk.

I pretty much disliked all the teams in the final 4, but one good thing I hope comes out of this is the focus on the Welker pick of Talib. The Broncos/Pats have made this type of play an intricate part of their offense (which makes it ironic that Belichek complained about it, he invented it) and I am hoping that there will be focus on these type of plays next season and a lot more flags thrown.

I thought the SEA-SF game was one of the worst officiating performances we have seen in a long time. I am so glad we dont have replacement referees cause we really need these pros handling these games.
If the weather is good I give DEN the edge. If the weather is bad I give SEA the edge in the Superbowl. I dont like either teams for different reasons so I dont have a horse in this race.
If the weather is good we will really see how good SEA defence is against DEN.

As a Cardinals fan I was hoping for some sort of black hole to open up and suck both the Seahawks and 49'ers off into oblivion. I think I give the edge to the Seahawks for annoying factor.

Well I guess if I'm picking a team to cheer for then it's the Broncos. Champ Bailey deserves a Ring.

Not much talk about Denver's 'horrible' defense so far. I am sure that will change over the next two weeks as people's attention spans for positive achievements are very short. Sherman stuff will keep the attention off the Broncos for a while too. The Seattle D will have to play better than they did last night to beat Denver.

I think the Broncos will win in a cake-walk unless it is freezing cold and snowing.
Manning gets two weeks to prepare.

Actually if Seattle's D plays like it did last night it will probably beat Denver. Take away Kaepernick's runs (and you will because Peyton isn't doing that) and the Seahawks defense dominated the 49ers. Until the final drive Kaepernick had has many rushing attempts as completions. Taking Kaep's runs away gives the 49ers 17 carries for 31 yards as a team.
The Seahawks will be far and away the best and most physical defense the Broncos will have faced. The Seahawks have the key to beating Peyton, or Brady, or any of them: The ability to get pressure rushing only 4 guys. Will be the difference I think.

I agree with Clay Davis. The quality of the Hawks defence (and the Niners) is about tenfold anything Denver faced this postseason. Really good weather could help Manning, and if the refs actually decide to call the occasional hold or pass interference on Seattle's ultraphysical corners could sway it too.
But I think it will be a frustrating Super Bowl for Manning.

Tenfold? LOL. NFC fanboys like their kool-aid.
Let's see how good that SEA Defence is without the 12th man.
