I like those. I think they'd look better if the white and yellow were swapped on the stripes on the reds, but I would buy those.

To be honest, I'll buy whatever jersey they come out with. I'm a sucker for the Flames.

I really really liked the cream jersey idea when it first came out but when I watched the first preseason game and saw the white of the jersey on the white of the ice, I started thinking that perhaps the cream colour wouldn't look nearly as sharp in use. Still unlikely that those are the the new jerseys but the designer has been mysteriously absent since the unveiling... too busy giving input on design production and sworn to secrecy?!

Those are pretty solid. Though I'd probably have a red name bar on the back of the white jersey, for consistency, something that's bugged me on the red's since they changed the name to white while leaving the numbers black.
Hopefully, with the release of the upcoming third, the name and number font gets changed from one that they've had for almost 20 years, and then when the regular home and away gets updated in the next 3-5 years, it gets carried over into that.
The example above shows how much of a difference an update like that goes in the changing overall look of a jersey.

I don't like the black in that concept. It reminds me too much of this era.

If I remember correctly, when the red jersey was re-introduced back in '03 or whenever it was, the number and name were both black. It was very brief, however, because the black-on-red of the name was particularly hard to read for broadcasters, so they changed the name to white but kept the number black.
I'm not sure exactly how many games the name was black-on-red, but I think that's how it happened. Maybe someone else can remember better?
Regardless, I do agree that the name and number should both match on this latest example. Just make it red text and that's a pretty nice shirt.

Nice. Although I'd probably take away the black outline on the home and away logos.

I really dig that concept. It gives it that retro flavour, but it's not just some boring retread of a jersey we've already had. Really like it!

That's fair, but as an aside (and not suggesting that you hate black in general) but having black on our jerseys has been around much longer than just the red/white/yellow colour scheme. At this point, black is indeed part of the Flames colour scheme. I really like that black on those jerseys, it adds a bit of punch that I think brings them to a better level.

Jersey set that cannot be topped:
Home: Red retro
Away: White retro
Third: 2004 Red
Done, and never change the jerseys again.

Ya I think it was just for the first couple months of the 03-04 season, then they switched it because lots of STH's were complaining about not being able to read the names.
Having the name match the # seems like something I'd want, but I actually like the white name bar over the coloured numbers. My NFL team, the Saints, have a white name bar over gold #'s on their retro black jerseys and I think it looks awesome.

My preference is to turf the black from our jersey design, but if it was absolutely necessary to have black on the uniform, those icethetics ones are what I would like it to look like.

Forgive me for not going through 40+ pages but is there a reason why the Flames are holding back on revealing these new jerseys? Haven't most teams revealed theirs already?

We don't know the reason, but a few people have said the release date is likely last week of October/first week of November. Not sure if that coincides with anything, or rather the Flames have just been (justifiably) busy this summer with other things.

I like these. I am not a fan of black jerseys but the black trim really makes the other colors pop out in this scenario. The black outline of the logo on the road jerseys makes the logo jump out more but I don't think it adds to the home jerseys, for the logo only I mean. Overall very nice look.

Clearly they've seen Split98's heavenly design and realize that their designs simply do not compare.

It's actually $20,000 over 4 years. So 25 cents per ticket to one game each year.
