Falla beat Tipsarevic who is really struggling.
That Davis Cup SF in September might not be a forgone conclusion afterall!

(6) Frank Dancevic (CAN) def. (1) Lukas Lacko (SVK) 6-4 6-7 6-3 in final of Granby Challenger.

woohoo! Frank jumps 33 spots up the rankings to 160. He can build on those 90 points.

for the rafa and roger fans

http://www.marca.com/2013/07/25/en/m...374734398.html

This is what Federer had to say about his rivalry with Rafa

With regard to the current rivalry between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, he looks back on his years of battling it out against Rafa Nadal. To sum it up, he says: "There will never be a rivalry like ours. Not even that between Borg and McEnroe, despite their different personalities and one being left-handed and the other right-handed. Murray and Djokovic are very similar. Rafa and I are extreme opposites and that's what the fans like so much. Our rivalry isn't over, I'm sure it will be back, I miss it".

Can't have much of a rivalry these days when one guy is a threat to pull out anytime cause of busted knees, and the other can't get past the 2nd round of anything with his new giant frying pan racquet.

Washington 500 draw

http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2013/418/mds.pdf

None of the big four here, Milos is the 4th seed.

He hasn't played since Wimbledon. Lets see what happens here.

Marin Cilic too!

But looks like he plea bargained his way to a lesser ban.

well this kind of blows, considering I'm going to this thing as likely the last time I'll get to watch some live Fed:

http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2013/.../#.UfaFo4Tna70

the way he's been sucking lately there wasn't any guarantee he'd even make it to the nights I'm watching but c'mon. Montreal is cool. Cincinnati is...Ohio. just suck it up and use a whole bottle of A535 or Robax before each match, and then get an extra week of rest afterwards before USO. geez, how does that Tragically Hip song go again? like boots or hearts, when they start, man they really fall apart.

the only consolation would be if I get some Milos instead. I'm surprised he's still ranked 13th given how much suckage this year has been. that just goes to show how awesome his seed could have been if he played even close to our expectations. yeah, I'll take a Milos match, or a Nole vs Rafa/Muzza 3 hour epic.

For those interested at this late hour, they are streaming the Vancouver Challenger.
6 Canadians in the draw I think. Diez won today, Bester playing right now.
Pospisil, Dancevic, Polansky and Peliwo play tomorrow. Dancevic and Peliwo play each other! The vet against the kid!

The women are there too, 6 as well! El Tabakh and Dubois play each other. Zhao, Dabrowski, Fournier and Fichman

Raonic beat Aussie qualifier Samuel Groth in the Round of 32 in Washington.
First match since Wimbledon.

He's got another Aussie Matosevic in the 16s and possible Gilles Simon in the quarters.
It's a weak field, if he's got his head on straight, he could go far.

Simon is out, Milos has an unabated path to the semis.

Marinko Matosevic def. Milos Raonic 7-5,7-6

Milos had 2 SPs in the tiebreak ON HIS OWN SERVE!
Absolute rock bottom.

Rogers Cup 1st round : Raonic vs. Chardy, Pospisil vs. Isner, Dancevic vs. qualifier, Levine vs. Malisse & Peliwo vs. Nieminen.

Chardy would roast an out-of-form Raonic. Bad draw.
