Why does anyone believe this guy?
Quote:
"No to answer your question," Ford said.

"I'm dead serious. When I say no, I mean never. No question, Now I'm getting offended. No means no."

But after Ford was provided with details from a Florida state criminal history record obtained by the Sun, he admitted the incident.

"I completely forgot about it until you mentioned it right now," he said.
Florida Pot Charge

And then there is:
Quote:
He told the Post at the time he hadn't been to a hockey game since Christmas. He continued his denials this week when the Toronto Star picked up the story.

"This is unbelievable," he told the Star. "I wasn't even at the game, so someone's trying to do a real hatchet job on me, let me tell you."

But Tuesday, Ford made a 180-degree turn, admitting he had lied about the incident and apologizing for his behaviour at the hockey game.

"I reflected on it last night, and talked to my family. I came forward and admitted it. That's all I can do. I mean, I'm not perfect," said Ford.
Drunken Outburst

This is the same script over and over.

I'm all for giving someone a second chance, but how many chances is he going to get? People don't need to be perfect and history is full of good politicians who were far from saints. But he simply doesn't learn. Drunk at a Leafs game, drunk at banquets, drunk at City Hall, smoking crack while drunk with known criminals. It just keeps happening.

Ignoring the absolute train wreck of his personal and public life, has he done anything good as Mayor?

He replaced a bunch of bike lanes to create more space for cars. I guess sticking it to the latte-sippers plays well with his base?

From a cost benefit point of view this is probably right. I think it would be hard pressed to show that cycling infastructure is a cost effective. Its a catch 22 though as if you don't have the infastructure you will never build up a rider base.

Does anyone know if in Holland if cycling infastructure is competive with cars in terms of cost per person mile?

His track record as mayor isn't all that bad actually. It's all the other stuff makes him a terrible mayor.

I haven't seen any plans, but it will go over the tracks, including over the future SELRT line, over Ogden, and the roadways south of Glenmore will be realigned, so that Ogden road continues straight as 24th Ave, and Shepard road will connect into 24th Ave.

I don't know what it means for the businesses between the directions of Glenmore & the light for the WB lanes @ 30th St.

Toronto is getting terrible value for money on its subway extension... it could have had a much bigger LRT system instead.

I think 2015 construction if I'm not mistaken. I'll double check. Glenmore/Ogden should start in 2014. Bowfort/TransCanada is also funded, but will depend on timing of some of the adjacent development.

Kinda funny this thread was started over a completely different issue. Which, at least to this day, the 6th of November 2013, actually got him in more trouble.

Who knew crack smoking would be #2 on his political scandal list?

More like an idiotic story if true.

You can't hack into a web server hosting a video file, delete it and have even the smallest degree of confidence that it is actually gone.
