Back in Europe now for the indoors year-end.

Valencia 500 this week
Paris 1000 next week

No big 4 at the Valencia 500, let's see what Milos can do

Ferrer wins Valencia for the third time.

If anyone is following Davis Cup news it is down to Winnipeg Calgary and Vancouver. Winnipeg is currently holding a ticket drive to try and show Tennis Canada their support. I purchased 2 seat rights just so if they for some reason do get it I get first dibs on tickets.

Too bad we couldn't do something similar in Calgary.

I doubt we get it.

Coral vs MTS Center or UBC I honestly don't think we even have a shot. Rumor was that Rogers Centre was discussing options as well with Tennis Canada. That would be great and cut down my walking time by almost an hour if I went to Van again. UBC is a pain to get from DT in my very limited knowledge of Van public transportation.

Raonic vs Chardy is the night match in Paris. It should be on at 12:30MT on Sportsnet ONE after the Isner match that is on tv right now.

It's wide open as the winner will get Sam Querrey who knocked out Djokovic earlier! BIG Chance for Milos!

what a trainwreck this Paris Masters is...just Murray left of the Big 4. and he might try to conserve energy for ATP finals. if that's not a wide open gap for Milos to get his first Masters, I don't know what is.

It's really a trainwreck.

Murray is out, lost to a Polish qualifer
Del Potro is out, lost to Llorda the wildcard.

But Milos is out too, lost 63 76 to Querrey

Polak!

Who's this Polish Guy Janowicz! He's gotten to the final of the Paris Masters.

Beaten Kohlschreiber, Cilic, Murray, Tipsarevic, Simon - no kidding

up 43 spots to #26 in the live ranking. If he wins tomorrow (probably against Ferrer) he'll be #22.

hehehe.

I haven't followed Polish tennis on the mens side too much lately because there really isnt anyone of note (until this tournament) to follow. Jerzy has stepped it up huge this tournament. Him and Lukaz Kubot are the only two poles in the top 100 so it's nice to see a rise. Jerzy wasn't even in the top 100 when the year started. I think he was outside of the top 200 even.

I may be the only one who cares but it really bothers me how there is no info out there about Davis Cup Tie decision. It seems no one really cares or knows when the announcement is coming. All I get is news coming out of Winnipeg as they try to win their bid. Why is there nothing coming from Calgary or Vancouver?

didn't want to wait for the Sportsnet replay so I found it live online this afternoon. it really is a coin flip these days whether you'll get the Fed who's sharp and makes the most of his chances, or the shank machine that can only find the middle of his racquet in about half the rallies. I guess that's what getting older is.

Good job though to Nole, not the monster 2011 he had, but still a year that any player would kill for. I have no idea what's going to happen at next year's majors.
