Watched the first 2 Mr and Mrs Smith last night, it's not bad, and there was a 30 second commercial before each episode, I can live with that. I would cancel prime altogether before paying for an ad free version of it

I just finished the series. Thought it was quite good. Some parts dragged a little but overall, really solid.
I got a 30 second ad before each episode. Every episode it was the Skip-the-Dishes add with Pissy in a bib. Almost ruined the show for me.
I watched an actual full length movie on Prime, and there was a 30 second (louder audio than the show) commercial at a part that took me right out of the movie. Awesome.

My favorite thing about prime so far was the skip the dishes commercial at the start. "This program is brought to you advertisement free, by the following advertisement".
If you publish such an obvious oxymoron, are you a moron?
Started Expat on Prime last night and it was my first experience with the ads... I was OK with the one before the show started, but the one right in the middle, at a volume 50% higher than the show was a real piss off.
I know this is more of a video thread but prime in general is really ####ting the bed lately.
I ordered a box of diapers. Probably one of the most generic warehousable, shippable things you could imagine. Expected arrival is TWO WEEKS out. Why am I paying for Prime again?
I ordered a charging stand a few weeks back. A week later the exact same charging stand is on sale. After talking to support, escalating 2x and finally speaking to a human on the phone, they say "we don't do refunds for price protection anymore -- but you can ship it back to us for a refund, and re-order at the lower price if you want". WTF?
There was a time when they'd give you a refund on your prime membership if something arrived a single day late. Now nobody gives a ####.
The fortunate thing is that Prime didn't really have many shows in Dolby Vision, just a few of their high profile originals like Rings of Power and Wheel of Time.
I don't like movies so it is safe to say that my preference of movies is probably pretty ####ty but I watched the new Road House today and it is awesome. If you are looking for two hours of mindless entertainment this is a great movie. No story to think about and get wrapped up in but just pure action, fighting and some light humor. It also has a pretty solid soundtrack.

I just finished the limited series 11.22.63 based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. It was produced in 2016 and stars James Franco. I watched it because I loved the book. In addition to being a terrible individual, Franco is a terrible actor.

Seems the ads have changed from the beginning of the show to having a couple commercial breaks in the middle of the show; oddly enough they've all just been ads for Prime Video though. Still bearable though.

Noticed this on the weekend. Used to just be a couple before the show started, but now there are a couple during the show as well. I believe you can see ad markers on the progress bar when you pause
Unsure if anyone else is noticing, but a nice surprise to the ads is the volume level. Instead of going up, like most services, it actually goes down. Which we love!

They're slowly training the audience in a ramp up to 3 minutes of commercials every 12 minutes, just like cable.
