Matthews to me is a bigger disappointment in the playoffs. He's a big center that's annually amongst the top goal scoring players in the league. He's supposed to be their franchise player but he comes up small in the playoffs. Marner is one of the softest skill players in decades so I don't think anyone should really be surprised that he disappears in the playoffs.

Matthews issue is that he is a goal scoring center. His totals are like 69-30 and that’s not good enough. So it’s easier to plan for him because he doesn’t make his wingers better by distributing the puck when he has to be the one scoring.
I mean 69 goals is amazing but if it’s a one man show the other teams knows who is the guy that will get the shots.

Saw a poll from agents on the Athletic this morning. Interesting the worst owner to deal with was Dundon in Carolina winning by a massive margin. Agents lamented his leadership style and state he is overly involved and the defacto GM and no one can make decisions without his involvement.
Other owners mentioned were Pegula and Aquillini

Surprising to me was the question regarding McDavid's next contract. Only 9/19 agents said 20% of the cap and 4 had the $15 million range which to me is gross negligence from a player agent.

Just read the article as well. Flames got one vote for worst run (as did 13 teams) and none for worst to deal with or worst owner. I'm not an Edwards fan by any means, but I think this proves he isn't as bad or involved as many of the posters here assume.
Tom Dundon from Carolina was runaway favourite for these due to over involvement.

Every agent is going to have a bad experience, somewhere along the line (which explains why 13 teams got 1 vote). I am only interested in the results for teams that got multiple votes - THAT implies that there are actual issues.

This isn't the NBA. 23 players need to share the cap. Anything north of 10% and you are an elite player. 20% means that the franchise will be crippled in the foreseeable future. Agents being agents.
