Makes one wonder how much Leon relies on Connor for his points. If Connor is not running at full speed he’s been invisible. The second best player in the world should probably have some impact.

McDavid has the worst faceoff percentage of any Oilers Centre this season. Today, he only won 23.1% of his faceoffs.
Rather than sitting him to heal up, they're going to ride him until he has a full breakdown and then they'll lose him long term.

I remember after his first year Crosby said he worked on his face offs all off-season and became one of the top guys. Still don’t understand how Mcdavid can even be compared to Sid.

Connor really looks like a shadow of himself. He looks slower, and honestly not all that interested. His defensive work is still shoddy, but he's literally hurting the Oilers right now.
If he's healthy this is troubling, the Oilers are on the way to an early playoff elimination.
Florida is probably going to harmlem globe trotter the Oilers on Monday.
If 95 points is the playoff barrier, the Oilers will need 84 points in the final 66 games. or a 44 and 22 record. Which is a .666 winning percentage. Which means the only way in is to sell Katz's kids soul to the devil.
Last year there were 7 teams that played at a .666 pace or better. and the Oilers weren't one of them.
