In 81 playoff games Rantanen has 34 goals, 101 points, and 5 game winning goals, 2 of which came in OT.
In 57 playoff games Marner has 11 goals, and 50 points, and 3GWG.
An argument can be made for Marner in the regular season, but I know which guy I want on my team during the playoffs.

Marner played great in the 4 nations final...he takes too much heat in TO IMO. I would throw the kitchen sink at him as a UFA

Yes, but that includes him as he’s one of their core pieces.

This.
Games 1-4 he plays decently. Once the series gets more physical he disappears. Matthews is the same. If Marner wants the big bucks..which we all know he does, he doesn't take discounts... I'm waiting to see how he performs in the playoffs this year. Leafs can't sign him long-term nd he still does his disappearing act.
This doesn't include last years playoffs but the results were the same for him.
