I'd like O'reilly. Feel he'd be a great fit. And if his garbage bag day interview was any indication, he's got a huge chip on his shoulder going into next season.

Not a chance. Hamilton is.

Patrick has proven nothing yet. He's a solid up and comer for sure but he had 13 goals and is barely playing center at this point.

Hamilton is a proven top pairing Dman and one of the best at putting up offense and still young to boot with a sweet contract. His value is astronomical.

Lies. Nolan Patrick was picked #2 overall under a year ago and had a great rookie season, considering the fact that he barely played and produced in the first half of the season due to concussions.

Absolute rubbish haha. Sam Bennett had a better rookie season than Patrick and look where he is now. Hamilton is proven at a more premium position and still young. Patrick hasnt proven anything yet. There is no way in hell he has more value than Hamilton right now.

Sam Bennett was also a year older, and picked two spots lower (which means he had lower value at the time), and played the whole year healthy. Patrick is a 2C on a playoff team, Bennett was the 2LW on one of the worst teams in the league

None of that changes anything. Patrick is an unproven commodity at the nhl level. Hamilton isnt. Dougie is way more valuable. End of story.

Even if Patrick was already a PROVEN number 1 center at the NHL level their values would be similar. We've seen that in the past with actual trades by actual nhl general managers. Since he hasnt proven anything yet after a 13 goal rookie season its pretty safe to say Hamilton is the more valuable asset at this point.

I cant believe you actually think differently to be honest. Boggles my mind.

This is one of those "it could be anything, even a boat!" Scenarios

Patrick doesn't even get as many points as Hamilton and the reason is because he has concussion issues...is having concussion issues a good thing?

More one of those "it could even be a Yacht" scenarios.

Nolan Patrick has a ceiling of a player the Flames have not had since the days of Gilmour and Nieuwendyk.

The same was said about Bennett. Until it happens, its a mystery box value-wise.

Yeah no, the only way Nolan Patrick comes to the flames is if Johnny goes home.

With Philly's pipeline of young D why would they trade their potential future #1C (plus a 30 goal winger) for another young D. That's ludacris.

That's essentially what it comes down to because Bennett and Froliks trade value are not in the same stratosphere right now. They are throw-ins.

It's hard to gauge Dougie Hamilton's value with any sense of objectivity on this forum. There are some that actually think he's more valuable than Barzal which is straight up delusional. I don't know what his value is in a trade but I know he's not getting Barzal.

Just like most teams out there they are short on RHD. Sanheim is coming along but hes no Hamilton.

I dont want to trade Dougie anyways. Its just a fan proposal and when I do them I try to at least get the value close but its obviously not easy because so much of it is subjective

Hamilton if they had a need for a young D. The thing about Patrick is he is their Magic Bean and his value is still higher to them then other teams would value him.

It doesn't matter because the Flyers have a good young D group with more in the wings, they don't need Dougie Hamilton.

I just think there is too much on the line for Philly to trade Patrick after just one year. A 2nd OA potential future Right Shot #1C.

Haha. I got news for you guys. None of these trade proposals in here are going to happen. Or at least I haven't seen one yet.

I see zero reason for the Flyers to make a move.

Especially one that moves a roster player.

Now I remember why I rarely poke my head in this thread.
