I remember when I was regularly flying for work, there was a Hayley Wickenheiser article in the Air Canada 'En Route' magazine in the seat pocket. One interesting thing she mentioned was how she tightens her lap belt on the plane as much as she can, claiming it helps activate your core by keeping you upright.
It made a huge difference for me, to the point that I am now a bit of a fiend for tightening my lap belt on the plane and in the car as much as I can, I find it far more comfortable than a looser fitting lap belt.

There are some really good back pain recovery yoga videos on YouTube that helped get me sorted out, along with some foam rolling and massage gun along the IT band, glutes and lower back. I feel that helped me way more than the “micro movements” with bands physio always has you do… but that was just me (not a doctor). Saved my ski season a few years ago before I started including core exercises

I’m in my 60s and I’ll stress one thing. If you take big risks you’re courting injuries that can hamper you for life. My son and some of his friends (late-30s to early-40s) have suffered injuries snowmobiling, skiing, at work, unnecessary driving risks (including on a motorcycle), hockey and football, and other recreational pursuits. I’m not saying don’t do those things but just be careful. I know younger people with serious health and mobility problems.

COOP gas stations that ask if you want a car wash when they have no car wash. I get unreasonably mad at that.

Threw my lower back out a couple of weeks ago and massage therapy/physio hasn't really helped. Tried this today and will repeat the next few days. Thanks!

You can use them at any of their car washes. The station closest to where I live doesn't have a car wash (yet), but I still buy one for the discount and just use it when I happen to be near a station that has a car wash.

I figured that but how dare they waste an extra 4 seconds of my life. Also the beeps don't match up to what you press and that annoys me too.
Also when expensing gas and the pump has magically run out of paper so that you have to go inside, because they barely make money on the gas so want you in the store. I press that button and tell them to bring my receipt out.

Sara Beth yoga has some really good intro yoga lessons too if you ever want to change up the video instructor.

And these were beyond bringing tears and retching. Not fun for the gut. Thankfully they “passed” after a few hours. although did have to sleep with the window open. So whilst a bit of a gear grinder I suppose there is a subtle quiet pride in being able to clear the room. Kinda like the mondo poop you’ve had in the past but it’s impolite to share your joy and wonderment.

Granted everyone is a little different bio-mechanically but a decent Physio and experienced massage therapist can do wonders for helping set up a simple program to develop proper core. A few years ago it took only 2-3 weeks and I saw incredible results. Then I slacked off and life got busy and stressful and I stopped doing the exercises… gee not a surprise that the back started being sore again. Anyways, returning to those exercises and a bunch of light yoga work on a regular basis through all last winter had me stronger this past summer than anytime the last 15-20 years. Finding a decent YouTube helps and/or gym/yoga instructors to help motivate and challenge too.

I agree. My daughter spent a lot of time, as a nurse, caring for young people who were seriously injured while participating in high risk activities.
I also think a lot of people ruin their health somewhere between the age of 40 and 60. They often tend to stretch their limits in trying to get ahead, while ignoring their health, and their diminishing physical and mental capacity with age.

Simple things like quitting smoking, controlling blood pressure, cutting out junk food, limiting coffee intake, be grateful and happy for each day, etc. could add decades to your life.
EDIT: I forgot drinking less alcohol and drinking more water

Boo to the last part. Just kidding, actually. I'm 50, and my alcohol intake has plummeted. I still love good beer and scotch. Just not in amounts that make me hurt for days after imbibing. The three beer buzz is the sweet spot for me.

And then you can also do everything right and still get ####ed. I say enjoy life while you can, you never know when you are going to end up crawling around in pain every day.

Companies that actively try to financially ruin you.
The main example would be time shares, but mine is is a solar panel company.
I want solar. I had a visit from a large reputable firm, who asked if I wanted to lease the panels. I said no, and let them know I am interested in purchasing. I was very direct. They continued to push the lease.
I asked what happens to their 25 year lease if I sell the house in the next two years. They said "the new owner buys it as part of the the purchase".
OH REALLY?!?!? And if they don't....
It reminded me a lot of timeshares. Sleazy, dirty, totaly lack of transparency trying to put peope in a bind.
Needless to say, they won't be getting my business... which is f-ing dumb since I'm literally buying a full setup...

I thought that was how solar panels typically worked in a sale. How did you expect it to work?
