I remember watching 'The Lobster' with my wife while I was drinking a glass of scotch and I started looking at my glass funny and after she asked I just said:
"Whats in this? Did you spike my drink? Because this movie is messed up."
Easily one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. That dark twisted humor just kills me.
I'm not saying Peter Jackson deserves to be on the list but his early horror movie work was very solid and one wonders what he could achieved had he stuck with horror movies.
I thought his earlier horror movies were more like the Gremlins or Evil Dead type stuff. More bordering on comedy.

For sure the movies were campy horror but very creative on small budgets. Braindead is his pinnacle and considered a cult classic. The first Evil Dead movie (also a cult classic) was straight up horror and it's not until Evil Dead 2 that they introduced the comedic elements.
Since tomorrow is Friday the 13th and because no one asked, here is my rankings for the Friday the 13th franchise:
Part 2
4 The Final Chapter (lol)
Friday the 13th (1980)
Part 6 Jason Lives
Part 3
7 The New Blood
Friday the 13th (2009)
Freddy vs Jason
8 Jason Takes Manhattan
Jason X
5 A New Beginning
Jason Goes to Hell
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was a lot of fun. Took a minute to get going, but as soon as the baby showed up I was smiling the whole time. Nice runtime too.
I say this is as someone who's never seen the full original but pretty sure I've seen each scene of it just from pop culture absorption. Didn't need to know it to follow it. And makes me want to watch the first.

This is by far the stupidest idea I have ever heard. I really hope this a hoax or something I can not comprehend the arrogance to even attempt such an endeavor....
If you're looking for a great psychological horror film I highly recommend The Stepfather. Such a creepy movie and the opening scene might be the most chilling scene I've seen. This is a dark movie that doesn't hold back. The end as well was very well done and reminiscent of Night of the Hunter.

Someone crunched the numbers years ago, and it's fiscally impossible to remake LoA the way that it was originally shot. It's basically un-remakable.
.... unless you turn the entire thing into a CGI fest, and ignore that Peter O'toole put in an Academy Award level performance that would be difficult to match. Also, the arrogance of picking out a David Lean movie, at his peak.

I watched I Saw The TV Glow, absolutely top recommendation from me. It's part horror part coming of age story with an incredible soundtrack and neon glow sprinkled throughout. The story centers around a boy in the 90s who connects with a girl through a TV show called The Pink Opaque (the show they watch is very similar to YTV shows like Are You Afraid of the Dark and Allison Mack). The girl is obsessed with this show and it consumes her every thought. As they age and grow up we see how their relationship changes and how they connect with the show changes as well.
The director is trans and the trans experience is central to the film. I was initially confused about the ending but after reading some reviews especially from the trans community and their interpretation of the ending it makes total sense and makes me love it even more.

Oh thats going to be racist. Oh yeah. Pretty much no way around that.
Jimmies shall be rustled.
This is a bad idea. In the Realm of 'Bad Ideas' this one might be King.
And....Roland Emmerich? Really?
Is Lawrence going to be fighting Aliens? Or Godzilla?
I mean, if it was Lawrence of Arabia vs. Aliens that would be an intriguing spin on the concept...it'd be a 'big swing' sure...but what do you have to lose?

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

Someone on here recommended The Tuskegee Airmen, a 1995 tv movie starring Laurence Fisbburne, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Andre Braugher, Courtney B Vance, and Cuba Gooding Jr, among others.
Checked it out last night and thanks, it was a great movie.

Spoiler!
I really want to know what the plan was with Monica Bellucci's character prior to the final product.
