Agreed, they also signed P.J. Hill as a UDFA from Wisconsin. He's an intriguing RB at 5'10 222lbs.

Saints have a log jam at running back. I have Pierre Thomas on my fantasy team in a keeper league. We need to designate our keepers before the draft in September. He got me a tonne of points in the last two or three weeks last season. With a healthy Bush and the other backs on the roster, will Thomas get the work load to be considered a keeper?

Keeping Thomas as a keeper doesnt make too much sense but you would have to explain how your fantasy league is set up:
how many teams?
how many RBs start?
etc.

12 teams. 2 starting RB's. If Thomas is only going to get the work load once Bush is hurt then yes he wouldn't be a good keeper. A great pickup though when Bush goes down.

No, Broncos fan, hoping Cassel does well when not playing Denver. And hoping that Jay Cutler gets hit while crossing the street after getting a manicure in Chitown.

Haha I love that, it is fairly true though. In Adrian Peterson's rookie year I had the option of selecting him, but from his college days I decided not to because he was injury prone, so I passed and the next guy grabbed him. He has an amazing season.
So I thought id learn from my mistakes and the next year I decided to take McFadden - almost the same situation (injury prone in college could turn out to be a star)... and that didnt work
I have the worst luck in drafts.

McFadden was going into a situation where he was not going to be the feature back of a three ring circus. In RB's you need to find one that is the go to guy all game long, unless of course your starting three or more backs in a huge league. I always try to draft guys that catch a lot of passes as well. In my league you get 1 point per reception, so a guy like Westbrook can really rack up the points (although he can miss some time due to injury as well).

To be fair, Bush really didn't start playing until McFadden's turf toe and Fargas' injury. I would say that shouldn't have been the reason not to select him - rather it should have been the fact he's on the Raiders and opposing teams can stack 9 in the box.

Leroy Hill signs a 6 year deal with SEA, apparently with a clause to get paid even if he's suspended for a weed possession charge still hanging out there.
Tatupu, Hill, now Curry, for the foreseeable future..solid/borderline outstanding LB core. Also brought back Ken Lucas as a UFA to play corner.

2 Saints charged with Obscenities and Lewd behaviour.

Seems pretty minor, but I wonder where Gooddell sets the line for possible suspensions?

IMO Goddell needs to walk a fine line. With upcoming labour negotiations and the NFLPA with someone who looks ready for a fight, there needs to be some sort of prescribed guidelines in the contract for different behavior. Its crazy that the NFL hands these finds out so willy nilly.

Well, the NFL hasn't (to my knowledge) done anything with regards to this case.
I was just wondering because it has seemed like Gooddell is doing something with every issue that can be under the "personal conduct policy".
I think it is especially tough in the off-season; NFL teams probably have 70+ players right now.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress and quarterback Brett Favre plan to meet at an undisclosed location later this week to discuss the possibility of the former Packers and Jets quarterback renouncing his retirement from the NFL to play the 2009 season with the Vikings, according to a source with direct knowledge of discussions between the two parties.

However...and im merely looking at it from both sides, that O-Line in Minnesota is among the best in the business and that running game will actually help him immenesly in the passing game should he go there.
Beyond all that though...and this is the biggest point to me as a lifelong Packer fan, it would be a brutal slap to the face of the Packer fans. He is/was absolutely revered among Packer nation as one of the best to ever play in Green Bay and indeed in the history of the league. He goes to their 2nd biggest rival...and all that is out the window. I understand why that shouldn't really be part of his thought process, but i cant help but think he needs to address that as well.
IF, and IMO its a big if, he does go to Minnesota, they instantly become the large favorite to become NFC North champs, and liekly one of 2 teams favored to win the NFC title.

Man Brett Favre is annoying. The fans he used to have are dwindling down in numbers. So many people have lost respect for Favre and a lot more will if he goes to the Vikings. Shut up and stay retired Brett.

Wow.
Even Pagal says stay away?
That team is a mediocre QB away from being a Super Bowl contender. Favre>>>>>Jackson/Rosenfels/Booty
