Gwar live was always on my bucket list, but given that they visited Calgary 1-2 times a year I always figured "eh, I'll catch em next time". I was never a big fan of their music, but Oderus was just so damn clever, funny, and enthusiast that you pretty much had to respect him.
I saw Gwar live twice (maybe three times, cant remember for sure right now, but pretty sure it was just twice)
I have a couple Gwar shirts packed away somewhere in my room, one of them being a white Gwar shirt with lots of paint or whatever they use all over it, haha.
I guess those warnings from Lemmy that Motorhead is dangerous to your health were true:
Quote:
A man with a headache that lasted for more than two weeks had actually given himself a brain injury by headbanging at a Motorhead concert, German doctors say.
The 50-year-old man went to the neurosurgical department of Hannover Medical School in January 2013 and said he had a headache that was getting worse.
A CT scan confirmed he had a chronic subdural hematoma on the right side of his brain. He underwent surgery to remove the hematoma — or blood clot — and his headache subsided.
In a case report published in The Lancet this week, doctors said the man had been headbanging at the Motorhead concert about two weeks before symptoms showed up.
"This case serves as evidence in support of Motorhead's reputation as one of the most hardcore rock 'n' roll acts on Earth...because of their music's contagious speed drive and the hazardous potential for headbanging fans to suffer brain injury," Dr. Ariyan Pirayesh Islamian said in a press release.
Still a few rough edges but I know a huge amount of work has already gone into it.

It is with great disappointment that Machine Head must announce the postponement of our North American tour this fall. Our new album “Bloodstone & Diamonds” has taken longer to complete than expected and we had to make the difficult choice to either delay the album, let it go out as incomplete, or cancel the tour in order to properly finish and promote the album in the caliber it needs to be done. We decided postponing the tour was the best decision for the record.

The new In Flames is really, Really good! It's certainly not Lunar Strain or Soundtrack but I really do feel it's their best album out of their last 3.
