Stars have been shutout 4 times this playoffs. Unless Rantanen is doing things and Oettenger winning games for them, they dont have much.

That was all situations, but last time I checked the games are played in all situations and not just 5v5.
And even then it's a very similar story:
Corsi For: 95 - 94 Dallas
Fenwick: 68-64 Edmonton
Shots: 42-42
Scoring Chances: 47-43 Edmonton
High Danger: 20-19 Edmonton
Shooting Percentage: 9.5% - 4.8% Edmonton
Save percentage: .952 - .905 Edmonton
Goals: 4-2 Edmonton
So it's pretty tight in everything but finishing at 5v5, and Dallas has missed the net a ton which is part of the issue.
Scoring chances are 47-43 Edmonton but Scoring Chance shots are 24-13 Edmonton. Dallas needs to start being more clinical on their chances.

Stars need to go dress a guy at #12 that they can afford to get suspended and just have him go out hacking and slashing any Oiler he’s near all game long.

Agreed never understood they have gone 11-7 in games. So just got 12-6 and let a goon clean out one of those ####s. It’s 11-6 and I’m sure the 7th d is useless anyways.

But don't hack and slash their plugs though, hack and slash, Pissy, McDiver, Tenderness, Hyman, would be great.

Yeah, they really need Rantanen and Oetter to carry them to have any chance.
When you have only 2 players that aren't a negative +/- in the playoffs, you aren't a good team. They have the worst advanced stats of all the teams left by far.
That being said, they have a good power play. So hopefully the refs call more Oilers penalties next game.

When you lead the NHL in points over a three season stretch and make the conference finals 3 times you're a good team.
It's not just a fluke at that point.

Panthers injuries piling up. Stars need to start taking runs at the pigs. Ekholm. Brown, pickard and Henrique are the only injured oilers I know of. Heard somewhere Ekholm might be back for game 3? Send him right back out. But mostly draisaitl. Make him painful.

I'm constantly baffled as to why nobody ever hits that d-bag. Dude is slow as molasses, so it's not like players can't catch him or get him lined up for a big hit.

The guy has been basically a walking corpse the last few playoffs with all the physical stuff laid on him.

Are you talking about physical stuff laid on Pissy? My memory is deceiving me, I really don't remember anybody laid any hit on Pissy, at most just nudged him a little bit.

If I recall last year it was ribs from a cross check against LA, and and a hand injury that same year. The year before Pietrangalo tried to remove his hand with his stick.
I guess if you are talking about pure body checks, you may be right, I can recall anything super significant. He’s dirty with the reverse hit which probably protects him a bit.

2 guys on the panthers will definitely run oilers top players and we know who they are.
The whole team collectively knows what has to happen
No reverse sweep attempts this year ( puke) get it done Cats

If the two guys are from last year team, I hope this years will become three guys. And I hope this year, when the Cats have the 3-0 series lead, I hope they'll step on the Greased Pigs throat!

Not giving up on Stars yet. They need to take game 3 and go from there.
Take more shots. When will teams realize their goaltending is on par with a shooter tutor.

This. No one is willing to block the shots, no one is covering the lanes, no one is taking their man, just shoot the puck.

Well...in the inimitable thoughts...if that dense cranium has the capacity for thought...of one Mr. Darnell Nurse...
"Hack the bone."

That one year (2022 maybe??) he was playing on one leg basically- high ankle sprain I think. But the oilers still dressed him because a) what else are they going to do and b) him on one leg is better than everybody else on the roster not named mcdavid. I hate his guts, but he is one tough dude. That's why it's embarrassing when he flops like his golden boy teammate.
I agree- one reason he's not hit is because he is dirty as hell if you come at him- reverse hit or, if you try to hit him head on stick or elbow to the teeth. I guess the answer is to do what he did to barkov- just come at him stick or elbow high with the worst intention and get him first.
