Monahan's a quality guy and a good player when his body cooperates. Hope he puts it back together.

The Flames didn’t have much choice, if they wanted to be a contender. They couldn’t just hope Monahan’s body would come back to 100%. He’s been broken for quite a few years now. I hope he stays healthy and produces at a high level once again. 82 games is a long season and I don’t think it would’ve been worth the gamble.

He's a good person so you do hope the best for him but seriously, for four years he hasn't been able to stay healthy. He's at the age now where he's gotta work extra hard to stay in shape and get back to what he could have been. A speedy player was never in the cards for him so his previous injury history, with his mediocre speed probably limits his potential. Ideally Lucic should've been dealt but it was either one and it's all good.
