It's been a very disjointed, undisciplined effort from the Flames tonight, and they're still the better team because of how brutal Vancouver is. I thought the Canucks might end up surprising a bit with no expectations but they look piss poor.

Flames still have a lot of things to figure out.

Again... what do you expect them to say?

The Oilers should be winning and are crapping the bed.

The Flames are supposed to be winning... and are.

What story would you cover? Is Calgary being up 3-1 on a bottom dwelling team really something you could fill at on of air time with? Has there been all that much of interest that's happened in this game that you'd talk about?

Hopefully they can hang on and win this one, take tomorrow off and then 3 solid days of work in practice and get rid of these really bad habits they have going on. They need it in a big way.
Amen to this.

Gaudreau didn't even have a stick in his hand when it bounced off Sutters skate and to the slot.

If anything Monahan should get an assist.

Was he technically this good the last few years?

Obviously stats are better to start this year, but I haven't watched him enough in the past beyond the vs. Flames games (where he was incredible). I can't imagine he was this good, even on an Arizona team.

(Right on time, the panel says that Arizona needs a goalie!)

Amazing decision, even more so after seeing that HNIC piece on how Raanta has been terrible in Arizona. A

A lot of Flames fans preferred to take the "Cam Talbot" route and get a great back up that would assuredly (see: not assuredly) turn into a top level starter.

Mike Smith is a top level starter.

gotta give it to the PK this game... Van has been bad but our PK deserves some credit.

We're talking about Monahan's goal here. Gaudreau passed it back to Hamilton who shot it off of Monahan and in.

It's a pretty clear-cut assist. I also think Frolik and Monahan should get assists on Hamonic's.

Gonna be a tough test in the third
Now you know why the Panthers gave up on him and traded for Luongo.

I like Hamonic's interviews, not just this one. He seems pretty calm and intelligent.

Maybe they could comment on the Flames steller PK, maybe they could
Talk about the face off issues and point out what the Flames are doing wrong, maybe comment about the Gudbranson high stick, or you know anything related to the game we are actually watching.

This I agree with completely. Tkachuk is just so easy to like. Smart, plays with heart and has skill. Never takes a night off. I think he's my fav Flame right now. I actually think Lazer is his only competition.... Lazer just seems to be trying so hard, always so happy, just not the same calibre of skill.

Mike Smith kept the Yotes from being last year's Avalanche bad for the better part of 6 years.

Oh thought he got one on that one. They'll fix it.

I would like to see the faceoff they got the penalty on. I think the Flames were complaining that the linesman moved his hand, which caused the Flame to go into a faceoff move.

I see linesman do almost a fake drop a lot. That shouldn't cause a penalty.

If Canucks had even a passable PP the game would be tied or worst. The Flames are lucky they are playing a bottom 5 team tonight.
